I never knew about this before, but if the timer runs out for any of the kongs the first time around, Crank will comment on it.
Lanky's arms a reasonable length in the game,
However, during the fight against K. Rool, Lanky's arms stretch out longer then normal.
Maybe he should have been a contender for ARMS.
An official video game adaptation of Final Boss is coming to PC via Steam.

Final Boss: The Video Game announced for PC - adaptation of Image Comics series - Gematsu
Bit Bot Media and in-house game studio Mecanimal Games have announced Final Boss: The Video Game, a hybrid pixel art side-scrolling beat ’em up / 3D fighting game adaptation of the Final Boss Image Comics series created, written, and illustrated by Tyler Kirkham. It will launch for PC via Steam in Q4 2028.
“Final Boss was born from my love of classic arcade games, fighting games, action movies, and comics,” said Tyler Kirkham in a press release. “Working directly with Bit Bot allows us to translate that DNA into a video game that feels authentic to the comic while expanding the world in exciting new ways.”
Bit Bot Media creative director Frank O’Connor added, “At its heart, Final Boss is about escalation. The gameplay mirrors the structure of the story. What begins as a cooperative street fight gradually narrows into a personal showdown. It’s a format that lets us combine two beloved genres while remaining completely faithful to the spirit of the comic.”
Bit Bot Media co-owner Joshua Viola said, “One of the things that immediately excited us about Final Boss is that the comic already feels like a video game. Tyler created a world that celebrates arcade brawlers, fighting games, comics, and action cinema. Rather than simply adapting those ideas, we’re building a game around them.”
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
What if your favorite ’80s arcade beat ’em up transformed into a modern 3D fighting game every time you reached a boss? Based on the hit Image Comics series Final Boss from acclaimed comic creator Tyler Kirkham, Final Boss: The Video Game is a genre-blending action experience that combines three distinct styles into one seamless adventure: retro pixel art brawling, modern 3D fighting game combat, and animated comic book storytelling. Join Tommy Brazen and his allies as they battle through dangerous islands, forgotten deserts, criminal empires, and larger-than-life villains in a world inspired by the classic action games and comics that defined a generation. As Tommy’s mysterious powers awaken and the truth behind his family’s legacy begins to unfold, every fight brings him closer to uncovering a destiny far greater than he imagined. Fight solo or team up with up to three friends in local couch cooperative play as you play as Tommy, Rabak, Masked Vigilante, and Midnight Lily. Smash your way through hordes of enemies, survive environmental hazards, master new abilities, and prepare for the ultimate test waiting at the end of every stage. Because when the boss arrives, everything changes. The scrolling action gives way to a fully 3D one-on-one showdown where timing, skill, and strategy matter. Every stage introduces new mechanics during the beat ’em up sections and then challenges you to master them during an intense boss duel. In cooperative play, players can tag teammates into battle, creating a unique hybrid experience that combines the chaos of an arcade brawler with the precision of a competitive fighting game. Final Boss: The Video Game is a love letter to the golden age of gaming, reimagined for a new generation.

I've only noticed recently that K. Rool in Smash Bros. has a very small tail.
I wonder if Sakurai either didn't realize that K. Rool had a long tail, or if he didn't included it because it didn't look right on him.
Either way, I prefer K. Rool with a long tail.
