For a band on Factory, A Certain Ratio never quite fit the mold and seemed to never do the same thing twice either—a case in point is this single, “Brazilian,” which is a slice of Brazilian jazz…played convincingly by guys from Manchester. What inspired this is beyond me, but it’s interesting no doubt. Dig the pseudo OBI strip on the packaging.
