Title: The Heart of the Abyss

Synopsis: Captain Laurelle Devereaux is the cream of the crop in the King’s navy. Her superior seafaring and swordsman skills demand the respect of her crew and anyone who dares to cross her. Unfortunately though, her days as a pirate have not escaped her new, noble lifestyle, and her reputation for pillaging and drinking is beginning to catch up to her.
Prince Elias Hawthorne is the last in line for the throne. With little aptitude for his family’s magic, and no desire to marry, he is deemed of no use to the royal family. Cast out to sea on the esteemed Captain Devereaux’s ship, he is tasked with making a name for himself, rather than continuing to tarnish the name of the royal family.
Laurelle and Elias engage in a battle of wills and of morals, until they find themselves in posession of something far more problematic. The Heart of the Abyss is a treasure that is greatly sought after by not only kings and pirates, but by the sea itself. The crew must overcome the allure of the Heart’s magic, survive the wrath of those searching for it, and venture onto an unforgiving sea to get it back where it belongs before the consequences become dire.
