So Pippa is Everett Ross’ daughter!  Her parents are divorced and she mostly lives with her mother, but she spends every other weekend (school permitting) with her dad

Unfortunately, one of those weekends happened to fall when he had to be dealing with the whole Accords situation, so suddenly Pippa finds herself going to Germany and she is not impressed

Everett loves her dearly, but he’s pretty emotionally absent and totally focused on his job

So she’s spending the weekend in a hotel room doing homework and not even actually seeing her dad

And then Zemo kidnaps her and drags her to Siberia as both a bargaining chip/hostage and a victim to try out some Hydra theories on

Which result in her developing cosmic-esque powers

She wanted to tell her dad but then she saw her eyes flash black in a mirror and realized that oh shit the experiments did something and her dad’s job is literally to arrest enhanced people so she can’t tell him

Then in AcaDec practice on Monday, Peter has a black eye and is talking about his Stark Internship and Pippa is just like “hey so how did you meet Mr. Stark when he was rescuing me in Siberia huh peter” but she doesn’t say anything because, well, she doesn’t want him getting thrown into the Raft

She wasn’t planning to do any vigilante-ing but then she overhears Peter and Ned on the bus to DC and when Spiderman rescues them at the Washington Monument she realizes that if she trained she could have maybe saved them

So the next time Peter goes on patrol, she shows up — she doesn’t even bother with trying to hide her identity from him, she just goes “hey peter, it’s pippa, teach me how to hero”

And she sort of forces her way into becoming his sidekick at first, and after helping him with the plane, Tony and Happy take notice

When Happy comes to pick Peter up from the school at the end he tells him to get Pippa and he’s like “?????” and Happy’s like “we can see everything that Karen sees, remember?” so they knew her identity all along

They both get taken to the compound where Peter was going to be introduced as an official avenger and Pippa as a junior recruit but Peter turns it down so instead Tony (and Rhodey) takes to training them!
