I noticed that your dimentio has what looks like a burn mark on the right side of his face. Any reason you draw him with that and also how did he get that in your headcanon
I think I explained that in a post already, but I don't remember if I really did, so here it goes hehe.
The burn isn't only a burn, it's a curse, and it's not just on his face, well, it used to be just in his face, but it spread through his body. Merloo, who's his father in my headcanons, was experimenting with the Dark Prognosticus and someday he was trying out a spell and everything goes wrong.
There was so much noise coming from his lab that Illuminata, his wife, started to get worried, she decided to go see what her husband was doing, and little Dimentio went with her, but when they got to the lab Merloo was struggling to keep whatever he was doing in control and the surprise of the presence of Illuminata and Dimentio distracted him and the thing kind of exploded in "flames".
The mother tried to shield her son, which sadly killed her, and Dimentio got half of his face "burnt" (and part of his hair turned white), the pain of it got him in a comatose state that later "killed" him.
They were buried but Dimentio came back to life some time later. I never really thought too much about the reason why he came back, but basically it's the book making him a vessel because of the emotions that he felt while being hit with the curse + the agony of being in a coma + the slow and painful death that he suffered.
Also, it spreads with strong emotions (usually feelings of love and affection, or too much sadness), so he's always controlling what he feels.
Before I forget, there's a drawing I made a long time ago that illustrates his life (and connects to the fanfic I never finished), and in it there's a part that simbolizes the moment he was cursed.
Talking about forgetting things I almost forgot one of your questions. sajhgd
I made him like this just because I didn't think his gijinka should be 100% "perfect", I needed to give him flaws that could make sense in a narrative, and also because he needed reasons for being basically a psychopath in the game, so suffering a lot sounded like a good one for me. hehe
But there's times that I want to draw him different I just don't do it because I usually struggle to make versions that I actually enjoy to look at. kasjdha
