unpopular opinion but no fan artist or fan writer should have to "apologise" for their absence or "delay" in updates; and nobody should ask them for explanations if they simply stop publishing their content one random morning. for whatever reason

It's Pride Month, or as I like to call it, The Time of the Year in Which We Register a Sharp Uptick in Unfunny Gay Homophobe Elias Jokes.
The LOA fandom has a really bad misogyny problem, and I’m so tired of it. Obviously not all of the fans are misogynistic, odds are that most aren’t, but there’s such a vocal minority on any video with female player characters.
Icebound in particular is really bad for it. Queenie is an interesting and complex character, but people don’t care because she’s “annoying”, or she’s too much of a contrarian (but when there’s conflicts between the male characters everyone is suddenly silent).
I’m just so sick of it. People treat the characters like they’re real people, and the Avantris crew like they’re characters. No fucking wonder Nikkie felt disconnected to the character
.
A thing I ABSOLUTELY HATE in EC fandom are those mfs who denied the fact Michaela is a woman and said shit like
"B-But...but he is a man in the Second Period💔🥺"
Genuinely & politely as possible, STFU BROTHER!!
The Obey Me! fandom uniting in the fight against corporate greed, capitalism, and the freedom to date hot demon men.
Simply beautiful. I applaud all of you.

Top 5-10 Worst Takes/Opinions you've ever heard from the Stranger Things fandom (and why you hate them)?
I gotchu.
Stancy fans are MAGA: I don't know if I really need to go into why this one burns me. Though I highly suspect those who claim this voted... So that's my opinion on the type of people they are. Anyways, there seems to be the belief that Stancy is an anti-feminist ship, and it's usually weaponized by people who, in the same breath, ask how funny it would be if Nikki died in the first episode. So the need to moralize a ship is just so freaking annoying to me. We really need to stamp out the evangelical culture's hold on the internet because shipping will not lead to salvation, folks. You are not a better person for shipping the right ships.
Jonathan hate is unfounded: Okay, to be fair, some of the Jonathan hate is probably because of shipping war bs, which is like whatever. And this is obviously me taking personal offense, but my hate of Jonathan is not unfounded. Honestly, it's barely even about Jonathan. It's just that he, unfortunately, symbolizes everything wrong with Stranger Things and how it handles its male characters. I think Hopper probably is in the same boat tbh. At the end of the day, Jonathan is a fictional character and is at the mercy of the writers, just as everyone else is. But the story the writers tried to get us to swallow is what I hate. His story specifically hit every one of my buttons. There is no self-reflection at all! And then you have to wonder, because his story is presented as if it isn't problematic, what are the writers trying to convey to the audience? That if you had a less-than-fortunate upbringing, you can get away with making others miserable? I know Jonathan isn't a worse person than Vecna and Brenner in the story. Like, he is just a teenage boy. But the text isn't saying that what Vecna and Brenner do is okay. It obviously punishes them. But it implies that Jonathan is allowed to get away with his actions. And I am probably even more pissed off because I did like his character in season 4. Like, the potential for a satisfying character arc was right there, and I did want to see that, so...
Anything dealing with parallels: Oh my god. I am actually so sick of seeing posts about parallels and how they are used as proof for a ship. I mean, the show is now over, but I was getting so annoyed by Baby's first literary analysis in the lead-up to season 5, like, guess what, the parallels didn't matter, istg.
Platonic vs Romantic discourse: I don't know why, but seeing takes about what ships should be seen as platonic versus romantic feels very much leaning on the whole of how people should ship things correctly. Like, I keep seeing this push for specific ships being better as platonic, but who gives a fuck? Do I think people overvalue romantic relationships? Yes. Are the platonic ships in ST ten times more interesting? Yes. But I would be a hypocrite if I said this ship should be platonic because it aligns with my headcanon when I ship another thing romantically, y'know? Let people ship what they want. I hate the policing of it. Who cares. Like, I cannot stress how little it matters. I mean, NOTPS are cool! I have mine! I just try not to focus on them unless it's character-related (Jonathan has nothing else going on, lmao). I just don't get the need for a five-page essay to justify them.
All takes on Nikki Baxter. Currently: Leave her alone! She literally hasn't done anything yet. This one is just blatant misogyny! And I won't stand for it, lmao, like why y'all gotta turn me into Nikki Baxter's biggest stan.
Thank you for the ask! I appreciate them a lot!
Can I just say I fucking HATE the fact that everyone in the Forsaken community just ignores the fact that C00lkidd canonically has a skin condition. Like that’s literally the canon reasoning behind why his skin is red. Like I NEED to see more people incorporate this fact into their designs and writing for Forsaken C00lkidd because it just feels kinda ableist. I also feel the same about people ignoring that Slasher has hydrocephalus too btw.
Me when YA fandoms refuse to acknowledge faults in a narrative that champions the return to the status quo, supports an oppressive absolute monarchy which is outdated even in the frictional world and defend the monarch in question because they have pretty privilege or fit into whatever trope is trendy. Me when fans dismiss the canonical ways the oppressed minority and lower classes suffered and how the author's half-baked explanation on how suddenly every problem is solved was even more harmful for it’s shallow dismissal of how bigotry and persecution actually works within a system and the very real harm that has done to people for thousands of years:
