After I started following you, you reblogged a tscir comic that I had read a while back and I was thrown for a moment because "I don't follow any people that reblog tscir, I have a tab for that one artist I keep forgetting to follow" and it took me a hot minute to figure out that it was someone I followed for a different fandom. Then the same thing kept happening with other fandoms as I slunk into your post history and I'm left to wonder how similar our internet and fandom experiences are because so far, the mxtx novels, tscir, ORV(I think??), BNHA, I think I see a dsmp tag?, and you made a comment about Jesus that makes me think you're also a Christian? This is all based on my memory, I could be so far off base. Essentially, you fascinate me. If you ever get into NatsuYuu I would be ecstatic to see what you think of all my favorite little guys
And keep going with the Jiang Cheng defense, I'm trying to get my best friend to read Mdzs and I know she's going to love him, so I need someone to send her to when she finds out parts of the fandom hate him to an unreasonable degree ...I was supposed to ask a question. Uhhhh I assume you recommend Return of the Blossoming Blade, but could I start with the webtoon rather than the novel? I'm still working on the tscir novel and I struggle reading too much at once
:D I'm so happy I don't even know how to start this! But anyway- I think we do actually have similar fandom history, because I did go through Dsmp, Bnha, (bsd, twst...) Orv, tscir, totcf, and as you probably know mxtx novels...

I've started to look into Natsuyuu now because of your recommendation! I'm pretty sure you mean Natsume Yuujinchou right? If not feel free to correct me, either way I'm going to look into it! ♥
And I'm glad you like the Jiang Cheng defense as his character is really important to me (mostly due to his similarities to some irl people I know and love), Thankfully I've not had to deal with any haters personally but overall the immense fandom hate for him gets me down sometimes too.
originally though when I was first getting into Jiang Cheng I went searching through everything and found that the most logical posts were the ones pro-jc or at least neutral to him because all the ones against him just seemed because of one very specific line of reasoning

which felt very wrong to me. (I don't like any argument along the lines of 'he went against character')
Honestly if I wasn't able to find some of the blogs I did when I did I would have definitely just up and run lol. Seeing people argue over a character so much that it warrants a 'canon Jiang Cheng' tag is so depressing.
One day I'm going to write about him I promise I just need to get his character down first....
I'm glad you are helping your friend out with this though! searching for good fan-friendly content when you're starting out in a fandom is difficult so I wish you luck! (I'm glad I'm helping :D )
As for your question! Yes-yes, yes and yes! The rotbb is wonderful in both webtoon and novel format, however I personally started with the webtoon too so I love to see it get some love and recognition♥!
Keep in mind though that it is quite behind the novel so be careful if you don't want to be spoiled by fan-content...
