it’s like the most Gross liberal reaction to the situation the way people are saying he ought to have been arrested/it’s toxic masculinity/he should be barred from award shows etc. like the idea that it’s worse for him to slap someone who made a joke about something his wife is self conscious about than it is to make a joke at the expense of a black woman’s medical condition in front of hundreds of people in the audience, and thousands of people watching on tv, and hundreds of thousands of people who will hear about it via social media

it’s so Gross and i’m sure a lot of these people are all too happy to act like they support someone calling out misogynoir/ableism etc when that person is behaving in a way they think is Respectable Enough, but their world view is so simplistic that they think physical violence, even defending someone else, is ~never the answer~ 

and the way they’re characterizing will smith as Scary and Violent is so fucking evil and unempathetic it’s like do you fucking Hear yourselves? if i was at some huge event with hundreds of people in the audience who i knew and who knew me and my wife, and thousands of people watching on tv, and hundreds of thousands of people talking about it on social media, and the presenter made a joke at the expense of my wife’s well-known medical condition, i would be Livid 

like what was he supposed to do or say in that situation? either he just sits there and lets someone say that about his wife, or what? gets on stage and delivers a ~Calm Rational and Level-Headed~ speech about misogynoir and ableism before handing the mic back to chris rock and shaking his hand while everyone cheers and says ‘see? see? two people who disagree can have a Civilized Conversation about it :) it definitely doesn’t matter that one person was contributing to systemic issues”? or,,, does he communicate that what was said  wasn’t acceptable in a simple, to the point way that anyone could understand lmao

here’s a scene with Sean Prescott in the hospital during episode 3 that I haven’t seen yet. in this save file, I failed the backtalk against Drew in episode 1 and told Samantha to avoid Nathan in episode 2 and that led to this, I guess. in it, Sean Prescott is talking to some psychiatrist after Nathan beat up some bullies at school and ended up in the hospital apparently. he’s refusing any psychiatric help for Nathan and even calls them “made-up problems.” what an evil man
