So I went to Manchester on a rather pointless quest, and my train got cancelled (as per usual when it comes to Northern Rail, they should just admit its an every two hours service) so I went and sat and had a sad solo drink. It started throwing it down but it was loud inside and when I drink I just compulsively smoke cigarettes just to have something to do with my hands, so I sat outside. I had my umbrella, and this guy comes over, having failed to open his table's umbrella, jokingly saying "Well I'll just share this one then if that's alright." Got to talking with him and his boyfriend, they were super nice and fun to talk to.

And oh my fucking god they were kind to me. Like so complimentary, telling me I pass, I'm really pretty, all sorts. As the conversation progressed, they just kept complimenting me. Saying I have a feminine face, nice cheek bones and jawline, and lovely hair too. And my voice. And my figure. And my hips. Like I saw a jaw drop when I stood up for a sec. And frankly were rather impressed with my tits. Which is encouraging because they've definitely grown in the last few weeks. They were so kind to me when they really didn't have to be. And sure, they were somewhat drunk, but not overly so, so it didn't read as drunken nonsense. They called me strong, and confident, and intelligent. And they didn't need to. I've just been feeling so dysphoric about a lot of the above recently, especially my face and my voice. I needed this. I needed someone to tell me I'm hot, actually.

It's just nice knowing all this effort isn't for naught. I try my best, and so many days just feel like it's not worth it. And I was feeling so disgusting today. My skin just looks gross. But they were nice to me. And they made me feel confident and pretty and I just really needed that.

Flowers come in a wide array of shapes, sizes, colors, and scents. Their diversity is downright astounding. Each individual species of flowering plant has its own lengthy story to tell detailing how it came to look and act the way it does. This is its evolutionary history. Unraveling this history is a nearly insurmountable task, but one that scientists continue to chip away at piece by piece.
