This one is also part of the event, but not a request. It is dedicated to Berry anon, as idk if they'll have time to check in again soon (I'll be replying to your ask in a bit :3!) and I have yet to write any of the Leona autumn musings. So I figured instead I'd write a little letter (and it gives me an excuse to write for him, cause it's been a while and I love him dearly) so here we go!

2nd person. GN reader. No warnings, just fluff

U - Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Leona doesn’t give off a very empathetic vibe most of the time. He is rude, quick with his remarks and generally not a super positive or sensitive person to be around. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t understand what is going on in people’s heads. He just prefers to stay away from it most of the time. 

And it is different with you, his partner. Not only is he noticeably softer (and will growl at anyone for even trying to point that out), but he has an especially keen insight in your thoughts and feelings. He notices something is off faster than you realize yourself sometimes. He will be able to pinpoint a source for those feelings pretty fast too. 

He’s less quick to get annoyed around you, and will never dismiss your emotions. After all, he can be pretty emotional himself, but has always been pushed to bottle them up, keeping up a princely attitude at home. His main outlet is anger -even though he realizes that is wrong. He doesn’t want the same for you, so he will allow you to feel your feelings and acknowledge him (and will encourage you if those feelings make you want to punch something or someone). 

But actual solutions or a little more? That rarely happens with Leona. After all, he has one big time remedy for any problem: nothing a good nap can’t fix. And honestly, as you’re in his arms, a tail reassuringly wrapped around your leg? You can feel all your worries become a little less.

B - Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Not to be too stereotypical here, but I truly think Suma loves your eyes most of all. She is generally pretty sensitive and in touch with her feelings -maybe a little too much sometimes-, and she loves looking into yours with those big blue eyes of hers, and try to see what’s going on in your head. 

She loves your hands, and the way they touch hers whenever you hold hands or the way they ever so gently wipe away her tears, no matter what the cause for them was. She loves pressing kisses to your fingertips after you’ve done so, a teary-eyed, silent thank you for the patience you have around her.  Besides your patience, she thinks the way you hold yourself through life is beautiful. Whether you’re generally a more nervous or steady person, somehow, for her, you can keep yourself together a little bit more, becoming a rock for her to lean on, and making it even easier for her to do the same for you.

She also loves your lips, the way they kiss her, even when they’re a little more dry in the cold weather. She loves the way they turn upward ever so slightly when she’s throwing a tantrum and she knows she’ll get some flack from the others, maybe even from you. But you have your tiny smile on, and she knows that even if you feign annoyance, you are never truly mad at her.

Sabo - General Alphabet - B C L R U

B -  Boozy - What is their alcohol tolerance like? What kind of drunk are they?

Sabo has an average alcohol tolerance. He can definitely hold his liquor, but partying and drinking like a pirate is not really his kind of thing. Not that he's a pirate anyway.

Sabo gets clingy, sleepy, inquisitive, and annoying when he's drunk. He will ask the deepest, yet most stupid questions you've ever heard and he will not let go unless he's someone satisfied with an answer. He will literally hang onto arms and legs to get said answer.

Afterward, he's a bit of a sleepy baby. Just give him some snacks, pat his head, put his hat and coat away properly, and let him sleep it out. Make sure he has plenty of water and maybe a painkiller within each for when he wakes up. Sabo's hangovers are the worst and he gets pretty cranky when he has them. Luckily, this is a rare occurrence as he usually knows when to stop to avoid any drunken embarassements.

C - Chocolate - Do they prefer savory tastes or do they have a (secret) sweet tooth?

Sabo has a (not so secret) sweet tooth! He likes any sweet goodies: cakes, cookies, candies, he will have them all. 

If you put a plate of sweet things out, he will secretly -not so secretly- keep stealing from them (one cookie for his mouth, one cookie in his pocket for later - that coat has its benefits). If you ask him if he took any, he will vehemently deny all accusations. But the crumble next to his mouth (or the fact that his mouth is still kind of full) does not really help his case.

He will not often stop for tea and a snack, but he will be eternally grateful to the person who brings him some. Much like his brothers, the way to Sabo's heart is through his stomach, no matter what kind of bond you're pursuing.

L - Love Language - What is their love language? Does it change when it’s a romantic relationship or are they consistent with how they show love to friends and partners?

Sabo's love languages are acts of service and words of affirmation. While he loves quality time as well, he's not always able to offer it like he should.

He does make a point out of letting those he cares about know that he does care. In a romantic relationship, words of affirmation will be most prevalent. With his friends and family, acts of service takes the upper hand. With non-romantic relationships, he has a harder time putting his feelings into words, so instead he just helps out whenever he can and has time, and gets really protective. He'd walk through fire for them, but will avoid actually saying that he cares about them.

R - Rain - What is their favorite type of weather? Favorite season? Are they an ‘I’m always hot’ or an ‘I’m always cold’ kind of person?

Sabo - no pun intended - is always hot. Mostly because of the devil fruit, but generally he's never been one to complain about the cold. His body temperature was always well regulated by the beautiful layers of clothing he's wearing.

At the same time, because of his devil fruit, even extreme heat doesn't really bother him either. It's almost enviable, he just chills in any type of weather, regulating himself to always be comfortable, while you are either freezing or melting.

Sabo is also hell to share a room or even bed with in the summer for this reason. He just radiates heat in his sleep. Perfect to have near you in winter, but keep your distance in the summer unless you have ice powers.

U - Unwind - What do they like to do to relax? Do they need a lot of downtime?

Sabo is a bit of a workaholic and generally, he doesn't take nor need a lot of downtime. That doesn't mean he never takes time to relax though, and he really enjoys it when he does.

His main pastime, however boring it may seem (and it's not entirely unwinding) is training. He's the second in command for the revolutionary army for a reason, he has to keep up and stay strong, even when he's not on missions or doing paperwork.

E - Explosive - Are they quick to get angry? What kind of angry are they?

Shoto keeps quite the stoic attitude no matter what he comes across. He likes to think and overthink things first, and honestly he is quite hard to get angry the way you’d usually get people angry. 

Sure, annoyed at certain actions and things you say, but true anger has to come from deep within and once he’s actually angry, you better run and hide. 

If there is something that truly angers him, there will be such an intense outburst of emotions, it’ll truly be a moment no one will ever forget. Shoto has two types of anger, much like his powers: Icy cold and distanced or burning hot. You don’t want to be on the receiving end of either one. 

H - Health & Hygiene - Do they take proper care of themselves or do they need to be reminded to have better habits?

Shoto takes proper care of himself. It's mostly a matter of discipline and habit. It's not like he really does it with "looking good" in mind, he just has a good routine and manages to stick to it most of the time. (The looking good part just comes very naturally to him).

His routine is super simple and that’s part of the reason why he manages to stick to it, even when a hero’s schedule can be insanely irregular. It’s regular showers, and he sticks to the same kind of body wash only. It’s slightly minty in smell cause he likes how it makes the skin feel a little cold. Just... a whole bunch of simple habits that are easy to keep up with but make him nice and clean every day. 

The only actual unhealthy habit he has is when he has to be picking his own food. In the cafeteria he always goes for his trustworthy cold soba, and even at home it’s mostly the same. Someone sneak in some veggies, it will do him good. 

L - Love Language - What is their love language? Does it change when it’s a romantic relationship or are they consistent with how they show love to friends and partners?

Initially, Shoto’s love language with both friends and a partner is acts of service and quality time. He’s really bad at verbally expressing his affection and is a little too shy and distanced to enjoy physical touch too much, even in the earlier stages of a romantic relationship. 

He just likes to spend time together, do activities, just the two of you or in group. He is not much of a talker, but is happy listening to you and offering comments and advice if you would ask for them.

With a romantic partner, he does add on gift giving. He is extremely good at picking out thoughtful gifts, and he doesn’t even realize it. “I just saw this and thought of you”. The mere gesture often is enough to make you feel all mushy inside. He also doesn’t overdo it, which makes it all the more special and meaningful. 

P - Pain - Do they have a high pain tolerance? Are they quick to admit that they are in pain or will they endure it by themselves?

Shoto has an extremely high pain tolerance, an unfortunate side effect from his upbringing and harsh training with endeavor. He learned pretty early on that complaining about pain wouldn’t help him in any way, and that toughening it out usually was more effective, resulting in less pushing and scolding. 

He will endure most pain quietly by himself, even when he is very obviously wounded, he will prefer to try and do as much as possible by himself. You will have to physically take objects out of his hands and redirect him to the couch/bed to ensure he doesn’t push himself too far. 

Make it clear that he’s allowed to ask you for help. Make it clear that his pain is okay. It will take a whole long while, but eventually you may get some careful questions from him to help you out after he’s hurt himself during training or work. 

X - XOXO - In a modern AU: are they a texter or a caller? Do they use emoji? What are their most used Emoji? Do they use a lot of common abbreviations, or do they type out everything properly?

Shoto, like many of his generation is mostly a texter. It’s quick, easy, and it ensures that the other party doesn’t have to be immediately available. Saves you a lot of cursing and impatience. 

He types out his sentences in full, using proper punctuation and rarely using emojis. He does know most text abbreviations, but simply prefers not to use them. You often joke that he’s an old man in a young man’s body. 

Hello to another beautiful person. I don’t know who you are but I want to softly smooch your forehead for requesting Izo, I love him loads! These were super interesting letters to ask for him as well, so I hope you will enjoy these!

J - Job - If they’d be living in our world - modern AU - What kind of job would they have? Would they be good at it?

Definitely an actor. Izo has got the natural charm and talent of an actor. We know the arts came into play in his childhood. He is good in all kinds of action movies, plays fighting scenes with a kind of elegance that is rare within the genre. He is super down to earth about it though and doesn’t like to be in the public eye at all. A humble home, barely any interviews, little to no scandals because people barely know about his private life, just the way he likes it. 

He could also definitely model. Androgynous, avant-garde looks, both in shoots and on the catwalk. Same as the acting job though, even though he’s in the public eye, he doesn’t necessarily enjoy the attention that comes with it. He appreciates the arts for what they are: a celebration of creativity. 

K - Kindness - Are they kind? Do they like to pay it forward? Are they kind to strangers?

Generally, yes, I’d say that Izo is pretty kind. But I would not say that kindness is always just extended to strangers. To his family, comrades, friends... Izo is kind and patient. He will go out of his way to do things for them, but will prefer to stay kind of in the background about it. After all, gestures are done for those he cares about in silence, grand gestures and spotlight make your kindness look insincere. 

With strangers, it’ll depend on the first impression he gets from them. Putting time and energy into someone you barely know has no use, especially if they won’t react positively to it. That’s not to say that Izo would be rude necessarily to them, he’s more polite, but usually keeps his distance, unless it’s something he can help with that barely requires any effort or time. Then there’s no harm in helping out a little. 

L - Love Language - What is their love language? Does it change when it’s a romantic relationship or are they consistent with how they show love to friends and partners?

Quality time all the way. Grand gestures mean very little to Izo, and while he can appreciate physical affection, and words of affirmation, he wants nothing more than spend time with those he cares about. After all, things can change in the blink of an eye and you never know how long you will have to miss someone. 

It doesn’t really change with a romantic relationship, although there may be some physical affection and words of affirmation interlaced with that quality time. But Izo is also perfectly happy just spending time with his family, a partner, ideally even the both of them combined. He doesn’t even have to actively participate. Just sitting back, listening, observing? He breathes in the atmosphere and he feels happy. That is all that matters. 

R - Rain - What is their favorite type of weather? Favorite season? Are they an ‘I’m always hot’ or an ‘I’m always cold’ kind of person?

Spring is Izo's favorite season. It comes with the sakura blossoms, its the ideal temperature to not be too hot in your clothes but also to not need ten thousand layers or you'll freeze. Everything seems to be reborn, and it provides him with a sense of tranquility. While nothing lasts forever, there's always a new cycle starting.

In spring it still rains kind of often, but Izo likes rain as well. Preferably when he doesn't have to go out in it though, it messes with everything. But being inside, doing chores, taking a bath, reading a book, doing paperwork... anything with the soft pitter patter of the rain in the background becomes a little more relaxing. 

He’s not one to be ‘cold’ or ‘hot’ all the time. In general his body temperature leans more towards being hot, but he can handle heat very well in the summer. Honestly, it’s to get a little jealous of. 

S - Sleep - What are their sleeping habits? What does their bed look like? 

If he has the time for it -because let’s face it, pirate life can be quite unpredictable- Izo actually has a pretty established routine. Even on busy days he tries to accomplish as many steps of it as possible. skipping out on the less important ones depending on just how much time he has.

Taking off the makeup is one he never skips, sleeping in makeup is the worst thing you can do to your skin, and there’s a reason Izo still looks so youthful despite being a little older already. Combing his hair is another one of his crucial steps. Other than that, he likes to relax a little, meditate, drink a cup of tea, read a book. His clothes are always either neatly folded or hung up properly.
