Still can't show my animation work due to the secrecy of the film but here are some watercolours I've made recently to practise. They are of the main character of a graphic novel I am writing who's a werewolf pilot. (I randomly drew him as a gryphon to cuz why not!)
As requested, a breakdown of how I digitally painted this gryphon. :) Sorry for the horrific gif compression! I did do many more silhouettes but deleted all the ones I didnt like! Its totally cool to do a bunch of silhouette sketches first, really helps you to figure out a cool pose and the composition.
