How does the clergy work in America? Like are there little churches or is it like one main abbey.
Abbeys and Churches in America
Both actually! There are churches and ministry buildings around the world. Currently, out of sheer size, America currently boasts the highest population of Siblings.
The way the Ministry typically works is in branches.
The head Cathedral, where acting Papa and bloodlines usually dwell, is currently in Linkoping Sweden. Centuries ago it WAS in Italy but it was driven out by the Vatican (long drawn history there.)
After that each country that the ministry has hold in has it's own main Cathedral. Every country is considered it's own branch with it's own hierarchy that all inevitably answer to the Swedish one.
Now each country has a branch but it also has sub branches based on how MANY are present and how far away they are from the head. So, to answer you directly, we will look at the typical structure.
The head American building is a Cathedral located somewhere in California. Three more main abbeys follow after this and are broken up into regional branches. The main Cathedral is West Coast, one abbey is the east coast hub, one is a southern, and one is northern. Though all American business is decided in the California location.
There are absolutely other small churches and even business buildings (as Ministry matters go beyond typical religious ones.) You can find at leas tone building in every major city, but they are typically well hidden. Churches can be anywhere between in cities to the middle of no where. So far you can assume three major buildings are in each state, and that's low balling.
Now each abbey is run by an Abbott/Abbess (typically a Bishop), and main Cathedrals are usually overseen by head Ministry members (Think Archbishops and Cardinals.)
Hope this paints an idea! the Clergy is EVERYWHERE!
