I really enjoyed Tuner, for the record. I thought it was fun and funny and enjoyed the use of jazz music!
omg thanks for sharing your perspective !!!!!! i’m definitely intrigued by it
i loveddddd the bone temple! It made me cry lol I'm sad it *~underperformed~* at the box office because it puts the third "years" movie at risk. Your ranking is correct imo!!
i had a lot of fun with bone temple!!!! i think i'll prefer danny boyle's directing overall but it was a decent payoff to what 28 years was setting up. if i want to be nit-picky, i would say that it almost doesn't *feel* like a zombie movie, but the cult-in-apocalypse setting was still super thrilling. i honestly think the plots of 28 years and bone temple would work really good as a series à la the walking dead, rather than this particular movie's franchise
i *did* cry real tears when jim showed up at the end- literally screamed and jumped off my couch. makes every sequel worth it, and the ending 'do we help them' 'of course we do' gutted me in the heart that i haven't felt since 28 days. i honestly do hope we get a third bc i would like to see the trilogy tied off, especially if cillian murphy comes back for it.
overall yeah! i have highs and lows with each of the movies, i honestly wasn't expecting 28 days to remain at the top of my ranking? but nothing can really beat it- it's the zombie movie!! and like, obviously since the sequels were made bc it's now a Franchise For Money, but the first movie just feels the most authentic. they had a canon film camera, cillian murphy's cock and balls, and a dream. it's the rawest of them all, spazzy without being flashy, with the rawest climax and payoff of them all. was honestly debating putting it into my letterboxd top 4 because the more time passes since i've watched it the more i love it
I can't believe you but atonement gifs on my dash with no warning...... you will be hearing from my lawyer (picture my lawyer crying as she hands you a cease and desist letter because she also looked at the gifs and is thinking about Robbie and Cecelia)
SOMEBODY WHO UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN....... call off your lawyer let's commiserate together instead
What did you think of The Drama?

Girl, how have the solo activities been!? I'm in the same boat. Trying to psych myself up to commit to a solo trip to see Florence and the Machine. It would be involve two new things for me: staying in a different city alone, and going to a concert alone.
pretty good! i went to an event solo on valentines day and earlier this week i actually went to see a movie solo for the first time. both were a lot of fun <3
i haven't done a solo trip (yet) but i've been to a handful of concerts alone and i've always made friends in line and ended up having a great time. so i say do it, you definitely won't regret it !!!
I did not know you were a jays fan. Sorry for your loss.
thanks pookie </3
