i literally never thought anyone would ask me about Renata omggg she is my BABY

Renata Marieta Linguini is Italian but was raised in Paris by her godparents

who happen to be Anton Ego and his sister Maura (also mine…LONG STORY)

shy as hell and a major worrywart, and it never gets better even into her adult years

burns almost everything she cooks except maybe mac and cheese??

best friend since childhood was one of the chefs, Larousse, who helped her connect w/ Gusteau…and who later helped (indirectly) connect Alfredo with the job at Gusteau’s (another long story)

her godmother Maura runs a boarding/finishing school of which Renata has always been a part of. 

some American girls are there. the accent rubbed off on her (hence where Alfredo’s accent also originates).

was a young mom. Alfredo is her only child

was never really mom material to begin with and has no clue how to parent but loves Alfredo more than anyone on the planet

contracts ovarian cancer at the young age of 30. Alfredo was only 12
