A lot of people talk/joke/rightfully give Miles shit about that infamous line where he calls Mia a ānovice bimbo,ā but not enough people bring up the fact that her (internal) response to him is āright back at ya.ā

ocd remaking the hayes code for just my brain
i know canon more or less says this can't be true but based on what we're told about him and his attitude in 4-1 i think apollo should be an absolute fount of knowledge of phoenix's past cases. he's a law nerd who actively looked up to phoenix, he might not have known about the gramarye trial and its aftermath but he has to have known about phoenix's previous cases bc otherwise it makes no sense for him to be SO insistent that phoenix has to be innocentāif he doesn't know anything about him why would he be so sure? if it weren't for the constraints of the medium i think he would know about the gramarye trial but it does get awkward for the writers when the characters know things the players don't so like i get it. i just think based on what we know of apollo, especially with his AA6 backstory factored in but frankly even without it just from his behavior in 4-1 alone, it would be more in keeping with apollo's personality for him to have gotten hold of every scrap of publicly available information about phoenix's trials in general and the gramarye trial in particular. in my heart he's written multiple papers on the gramarye trial and why phoenix was probably framed
Woke up this morning thinking about the differences between Souta, Matt, and Kristoph, and how I might explain my interpretations to someone else
So here we go
Ā SOUTA
His main goal is to be safe. He has morals, but is able to compromise them or numb them out for the sake of his own protection. That said, he does have lines he wouldnāt cross, and by nature he does care for other people and ideally wants joy and safety for everyone. When heās in a safer environment, heās more able to step out of his self-protective bubble to a certain extent & have genuine connections and friendships with others.
Ā MATT
His main goal is to get what he wants. He has maybe one (1) moral-- there are some other things he might initially be uneasy or uncomfortable with, but he can quickly become desensitized to his own discomfort. Heās incredibly selfish, and is occasionally able to form varying degrees of connections with other people, but in the end, heāll prioritize his ego 99.99% of the time and will cut someone off or stab them in the back if thatās what is most convenient.
Ā KRISTOPH
His main goal is to have control. He doesnāt have morals; the closest thing he has to morals is 1.) methods he generally prefers to follow vs methods he views as being more unclassy, and 2.) things he will avoid doing for the sake of his pride. He doesnāt form genuine connections with others; he views all his relationships through the lens of power and control, and he experiences attachment to people via possessiveness and the need to keep and control and mould them.
iām gonna start making a list with timestamps of heated rivalry that cuts out the sex scenes because i managed to convince my ace sex repulsed friend to watch it because of the gay yearning (and because i truly havenāt stfu about it)
i know in my heart of hearts that it will change the viewing experience because just how much the emotional intimacy grows during those scenes but i was thinking of writing like synopsisās for the skipped parts like āthey fuck but the important thing is they gaze longingly at each other and have a little competitive moment and also ilya is a consent king?ā probably more in-depth though
anyways has anyone done this before? iād love to know if thereās a starting point out there i can work from
also if anyoneās interested i can post it after im done (it may take a while unfortunately i have a weird work schedule)

he is that KGBitch <3
rewatching marvel in timeline order for the first time since covid bc my mom finally wanted to watch it and just finished winter soldier and im like. should i. should i dabble in my stucky bullshit again? i remember being quite fond of the pre-serum domestic fics once upon a time. what horrors of my past will be unearthed when i go looking (the horrors of grasping desperately at any relationship that could even potentially be read as queer)
finally writing my fic again and autocorrect just tried to make Shane into Jane, and i mean itās not wrong but not needed right now thank you.
