Why Thor and Okoye (and Tony) don't look to the left like the rest
It took a shitpost for me to notice this, but their lines of vision actually tell us a lot about their motifs.
All the Avengers look to the left, some more up or down, but the same direction. They have one goal. One enemy. They do have slightly different motivations as to why they team up, but it's only a minor detail. They're fighting the same fight, as a team.
Thor is looking to the right. He's not isolated, he is part of the Endgame, but he has another goal. He may be an Avenger, but earth is not his home. Asgard is. Loki is. They all lost family and friends to Thanos, but he lost everything. Asgard is its people, and Thanos eradicated them at the very beginning. Avenging earth is only a bonus for him. His main focus is on the people that deemed him their king.
Okoye is looking down. Her face averted and on the brim of the group, she faces the exact opposite direction. She's looking at Wakanda. At its remains. Her king gone. Her princess gone. She doesn't give a damn about revenge. Her country is without its leader and in shambles, in literal ashes. She has no time for space fights. She swore an oath to protect, and with T'Challa and Shuri dusted, her place is at the side of whoever survived the snap and is able to take the place of her king for now. They move on, she remains.
Tony is looking up. Left, but at something above them. Something bigger? Something beyond their grasp? He seems to be the only one to notice it. Has been for years. He could be looking at the stars - they are the beginning and the end of their journey. He almost died amongst them, lost Peter and the others on Titan. Now the Endgame awaits them up there. He's looking back and forward at the same time.
