Ive got some upcoming events if you're in my area and want to pick up some of my art!
Starting to get my shit together for this summer’s events. Come June I’ll be at the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL for a conference with a bunch of Medievalists (public event here!), A2CAF in Ann Arbor, MI (it’s free!), and the International Melville Society Conference in Avery Point, CT (no public events, I think, but I’ll be sleeping aboard the Joseph Conrad for that week so you can probably come bother me there).
It's been a hot minute since I've done this kind of multi-event-friend-visiting-extravaganza travel, but I think I remember how.
My A2CAF zine haul from yesterday! So quick backstory, I went down to Ann Arbor Michigan yesterday to go to my favorite comic store Vault Of Midnight and happened upon a flyer in the window for A2CAF, a small indie comic event. It just so happened it was going on the EXCAT time I was up there. I had absolutely no idea it was happening, but I’m so glad I found out!
There were so many amazing and talented artists there, some of which I actually knew beforehand. A little disappointed Caroline Cash couldn’t make it cause I’m a HUGE FAN of her work, but it’s no fun being sick ha ah. Had a lot of really great conversations with artists few of the artists, mostly sparked threw the shirt I was wearing (I was wearing my Hi how are you Daniel Johnston shirt)
Shoutout to Sam Szabo, Marj Gaber, Ash Thomas, Andrew Greenstone and Drew B. Hall, y’all are amazing and I had a lot of fun chatting with you all! Even got original art by Ash!!! Oh and that handmade moth guy was done by Marj! I love him so much!!!!!
Here's a lil' snippet from my graphic novel Glitch which came out through @graphixbooks last year! It just won the "Most Epic Adventure" award in the 2020 Kids' Comics Awards which is absolutely amazing!
Thank you so much to everyone who's picked up a copy so far and special thank you to all of the kids who voted for it to win the award! I should have a little Lego award arriving in the post soon which is very exciting!
If you haven't read Glitch yet, you can pick up a copy everywhere that you can buy books! Check out readglitch.com for links!
