OC Fact Swap: Kai's right eye is cybernetic. The cybernetics are faulty and made for humans so he tends to get really bad migraines fairly regularly.

Mephires is of course the more messed up of my babies in term of cybernetics. He has hormonal/chemical control implants attached to his spinal chord on his neck, but those are basically invisible; a cybernetic arm and foot from genetic limb defects, so he had more or less temporal prosthetics since he was a child, basically. They were definitely not always perfectly sized for him, but his parents always privileged comfort to overall functionality, so there’s that. They worked on them so much they mostly ended up being “home-made” to fit as well as they could with the body of a growing boy, so, well, now that he is an adult he doesn’t have too many problems with them. (They are still a bother, of course.)His right eye started losing focus in the last years too tho, so, well, he started out with just wearing adjusting visors, but now he had to shift to full cybernetic and he has still issues getting used to that.
Other than that Tsekel’Kaan has some variation of chronic insomnia, so, well, he does have terrible migraines linked to that sometimes, and his method with that is just kinda unhealthily filling himself with medicine until he can continue whatever it was that he was doing.
