In the fall, someone started putting rocks in my saddle bag. I was initially mad because my plastic bags seemed to have been traded for these earthy gifts. It happened several times over the semester and I was very confused that it kept happening.

Senior week comes along. I hang out with a friend in her dorm (opposite side of the campus from my dorm) and parked my bike outside the building.

When I came out later, at night, I found this in my saddle bag:

All of the confusion persisted, but I now realize this was a coordinated effort or a single person. And I so enjoyed this gift that Brik still resides on my desk at home.

A couple of days ago, I was reminded of this gift when this appeared next to my sewing machine:

Maybe it’s just because they both include googly eyes.

Upon opening it, I found there were other contents

My mom had brought it to me in a little blue drawstring bag, with my name on it. I asked if she put it there, and she said no. It came out that none of my family had done this. And to my recollection, only a few other people have been in my house since we rearranged that room. A couple of my cousins we babysat over the week of New Years and my dear chaos friend Audrey.

I found out this morning from my aunt that she doesn’t remember either of my cousins making it.

Audrey asked who it was from.

So unless you’re pulling my leg @audlynb33...

Spinel and Steven doodle dump!

Spinel deserve more than well to goof off and be her toon looney self, so I drew her being a little bit looney, and sometimes it’s with steven! :D

I kinda imagen her coming to earth and visit a lot, because earth is the place to both have fun and have heartbreaking character development... 

but hey, um, can I just bring up another idea I’ve had for a little while now? It’s a bit of a weird thought but, have you ever thought about the fact that Spinel and Steven... are kinda like cousins now?? The diamonds did kind of adopt her, and depending on what you think their relation to Steven is (grandmas / aunts), at least technically that makes Steven and Spinel sort of like family. It’s weird but, I kinda like that idea. Spinel is that cousin who visits from time to time and when she’s there, she’s down to do some light hearted but stupid and weird shenanigans.

Don't allow yourself to be the cliff note of your own story. How did the extras take the lead of your spot light?

Glance around and you see where you fit into your life anymore? When your name is spoken is there a pause or oh yeah them that comes about.

You were to be the one to glide to the stars, not plummet to the depths. Your title should always write your name first, you are not to be placed in the and staring category.

Pick up the dropped mike, make your voice loud, your words strong and your presence known to all in the surrounding lands.

This is the story of you, not the story of all you wish you were or hoped you could be. Fly to the sun be proud be free.
