It opens so many opportunities for new dynamics and character possibilities when the universe isn’t forced to revolve around Ash. For example where would Serena end up in life if she never saw Ash on that fateful night? What if Dawn ended up traveling with Paul in the absence of Ash, what kind of coordinator would she be?
On the other hand it creates a ton more research and work, and without a central main character or focal point it’s hard to consider anything unimportant enough to make a side story and gloss over. If I really am commited to this I might have a gigantic work load ahead of me to truley show off all the ripple effects…
