💡How many WIPs do you currently have?

scream god i haven't worked on anything except winner's room in like the last two weeks so it's probably one. but i really do want to finish sex bets barebacking. or honor bondage. or the fic where ilya fucks shane against the windows in his enormous seaport apartment. also every once in a while i dig thru my inbox for a ficlet prompt just to get the writing muscles working. and obviously at any point i can be whammied into producing fic in a horny daze completely unrelated to anything i've been working on before

after the shower—a real one—shane's trying to gather himself up from the bed when rozanov says, "they have not taught you how to suck cock yet?" rozanov hadn't complained when he was coming in shane's mouth. shane goes hot, then cold. "oh, fuck off." "no, it's good, you have good mouth," rozanov says. "eager. i like it." he presses a thumb to shane's lower lip, holds it there until shane opens up. "but you know, usually they don't bother making me work. it's just—" a shrug, which moves his thumb deeper into shane's mouth. "probably for the best. no gag reflex, so." shane has a gag reflex, which rozanov knows because he choked on his dick half an hour ago. he'd thumbed away a tear at the corner of shane's eye and said, "it's okay, try again." "is that what they do with you?" shane says, sitting up. "in the rooms?" rozanov's got a mouth on him, shane's heard around the league. wish there was a way to shut him up. we-ell, you know— rozanov says, "is that not what they do with you?"

i've spent so much time trying to crack how to write ilya & i still don't really have a good handle on it. i don't know what it is about him! like i think i have an okay handle on his dialogue but digging into his issues is SO slippery. i find shane pov way easier to do for some reason so i default to it a lot but i kind of feel guilty every time i do. what's that about? who can say

aksjdhd do i have any wild headcanons? do i have any headcanons??? i feel like i'm so flexible with what i'm willing to believe within the space of the narrative

okay well i do think they've fucked in shane's boring range rover. this bit in the very excellent car talk actually fully encapsulates my belief on this matter

The first time Ilya told Shane he was going to take him for a drive the next time they saw each other, Shane took the whole week before their Boston game to consider what kind of stance he was willing to take on road head. He’d landed on it being an overall bad idea, but in the category of bad ideas, like pressing too hard on bruises, pissing in showers, and keeping the window shades open, that he might like Ilya to talk him into.

✍️ What’s your ideal writing setup?

oh my god i feel like i've become more neurotic over the years but only about feeling any kind of pressure whatsoever. i can't have anyone looking at my screen. if i've given fic over to a beta i need to leave the doc while they're in it. my first drafts are all in lowercase so i can trick my brain into thinking it's not Real Writing. but physical environment i'm not that picky! if i'm in an inspired mood i will write anywhere (on the subway, at cafes, at work, etc etc).

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

ooh, i don't often feel i'm writing fic with a strong visual component so this is tricky. i vaguely conceptualized this yuri on ice fic as a series of articles with accompanying photo spreads, which would be gorgeous. also i would love to see shane wearing ilya's neck guard, obviously.

❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?

god i don't think i'm particularly quotable on a line by line basis but i actually like these bookends from dogging quite a lot:

Ilya had not screamed after he found his mother. The situation was different with Hollander, of course, but he thought probably Hollander hadn't, either. This was the sound frozen in him, trying and failing to come out.

He was stretched out and naked and beautiful on the bathroom floor, rolling out his shoulders. Looking back up at Ilya, clear-eyed, the glacier of him cracked.

Last song:  Shakira's World Cup song cause it was on TV. Discovered today that it's called Dai dai. Dunno if it means something in Spanish but it does mean something in Italian, which is hilarious cause the Italians were notably once again out of the World Cup.

Currently watching: Rigth at this very minute, the last leg of Le Tour de France. But series wise, Sugar. Also just started a proper watch of Lie To Me.

Currently reading: A Star's War, by Matt Brown, which actually recounts George Clooney's trip to South Sudan in 2010.

Current obsession: Still very much into Luca Argentero. Just read that they postponed *again* the release of DOC Season 4, I'm gonna cry. But also they've released the first promos and I'm not sure I'm ready? I can't wait but I'm dreading it at the same time (a known sign of being way too invested in a story)

Currently working on: catching up on my Tumblr posts. But sadly, not on any new gifs, sorry guys. Did anyone even notice I haven't posted anything in over 2 months?

Currently wearing: my stary NASA sweater and jeans. Today is the only day with normal temperature, so thank god we can put some clothes back on.

Last online search: A movie for a friend. The search failed, sadly.
