So I went kayaking today because the water looked so calm and the heat was below 90° and I miss it, I haven’t been out on the water in a while. So I got maybe half a mile out, which is about a third of how far I usually go before turning around. And then I start seeing some fish jumping. And then like five jump maybe two yards behind me. And suddenly I remember that certain sharks become more likely to enter brackish waters when rainfall is low. And it hasn’t rained here in like a month.

Anyway I worked on my cardio because I was scared shitless and started paddling really fast. And when I finally did turn back and head home, you bet your ass that I wanted to cry.
