Happy 96th Birthday to our Grand Matriarch, The Queen Mother, Hyacinth Lolita Roach. The maternal half of our immigration story (because we have on on both sides). This woman has worked tirelessly her whole life— risking everything and making huge sacrifices to get her family to the (ungrateful) USA. And she has continued to put family first— taking care of her rambunctious grandchildren while our parents worked, and teaching all of us (to varying degrees of success) how to cook, clean, and do our percentages in our head 😂.
