โDude Ranchโ was probably the last legit punk effort from the band (prior to the exit of Scott the original drummer, and the entrance of Travis Barker, akaย โBaron Von Titoโ; see The Aquabats! - and then Tom DeLongeโs exit later) and is still what I consider to be their last great punk album. In terms of the original line-up - it was their high watermark.
The bandโs follow-up success (which made them a household name) was another example of when punk gets too big and loses itโs original zest & zeal. I still prefer the FUN Blink 182 when they were still punk (Skater Punk - totally 90s brah, hahaha).
