I know ive been a little quiet on here recently with my own posts but I'm about to enlighten you on what's been going on in my life, the good at the bad.
I'll start with the bad first because who wants to end on a sad subject. My mother and my sister aren't talking. My sister and I, aren't talking. To any of you who know me irl, you'll know this isn't an unusual situation however this time it's very different. My sister pushed the boundaries and has really wounded my mother by posting things about her on Facebook and then, when questioned about it, ignoring it. My sister has been throwing shade about me since I was born lmao she's jealous in all kinds of ways. Her most recent joy is expressing how glad she is that I (6 months ago) failed and withdrew from university as a consequence. Another thing leading up to this was my aunt dying, quite suddenly too. My sister likes to pretend that she is the only one who cares etc etc and so when I, at the request of my mother, got involved in arranging care, and later funeral plans, she got annoyed and started going on and on about how lazy I am (because I wouldn't do house clearance which my mother told me not to do because she had something else to occupy me with) and how I never cared when my aunt was alive (we had an interesting relationship and I'll leave it at that). So all in all my personal life is a mess in terms of my family.
My boyfriend is working on his MA dissertation so he's quite occupied with that and I'm assisting wherever I can.
Now for some good news (yay)
I have been accepted and enrolled on an Open University course for BA (hons) Language Studies with German and Spanish.
And not only that but SFE are funding me so I don't have to work stupid hard and scrimp and scrape money together to do it.
I'm really hopeful that my future will be looking up soon and that I can complete my study with high levels of attainments (I don't wanna jinx anything but who doesn't want a first) because of this I have recently been spending a lot of my time reading around my first modules (Spanish 1 and Exploring Languages and Cultures) and damn I've reen finding some interesting stuff.
In the closer future my boyfriends parents are throwing a party and I get to meet 34 people who speak varying degrees of English and who are all "very excited to meet me" so yall, wish me luck
Sorry for the long post, I just needed to share about stuff, as I'm not telling very many people about my degree, in fact, only 2 friends, my boyf and my mother and brother know, its less pressure that way, but now I'm accountable for studying by posting it here 😂
I hope you're all having a great week!
