Iโm going to also do Headcanon Of The Day here now, if you like these you can also find them on my Instagram stories every so often @_slimebyshivi_
The eight versus nine planet debate. Oh here we go. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, including or not including Pluto. Now, this is modern day names, of course. If we switch to Norse Mythology with Odin, Thor, Loki, Frigga, etc, we will see that there are nine realms. If you look closely enough you will see similarities between what people who practice Norse Mythology ideals call realms and modern day people call planets. For example, Earth and Midgard, or Pluto and Jotunheim. This so far is just understanding between different teachings and ideas. Here is where the things get interesting. The Headcanon part is coming up now. Loki is a frost giant from Jotunheim (modern day Pluto). (Although he was raised in Asgard.) Thor is an Asgardian from, well, Asgard. However, Thor always supports Loki in his identity and otherwise (except when he kills people). Upon hearing and learning what planets were and how they systematically coexist with the realms he was interested and intrigued. Up until he heard that some one deemed Pluto (and therefore Jotunheim) a โdwarf planetโ because it does not meet the certain requirements. This can be interpreted as Jotunheim (Pluto) not being perfect enough. When Thor found out he was furious. Of course, Thor questioned this and found out that Tony and Bruce supported the eight planet (and therefore realm) theory. As did Natasha and Clint, although not as strongly. Steve, missing the year 2006, as he was in the ice that year, firmly believes in the nine planet (and therefore realm) theory. Thor and the rest of the original Avengers (minus Steve) argue with each other for a good 45 minutes, until Thor gives up and essentially calls Loki (because miniheadcanon: Stark made them all phones, that work multirealm) and then Loki and Thor proceed to diss the system and the rest of the Avengers. This argument lasts a while, (we all know if cuss words were allowed freely they would use Hela cuss words, minus Steve of course.) with lots of cusses here and there. Loki defends Jotunheim, and Thor and Loki together essentially rage at the system that made the rules for the planet. They both still think, at least a little bit that the person who created the system must be at least a little against frost giants, although humans (Midgardians) have no record of them.
