I hope y’all don’t mind me going simple for this comic. Had to do it so I can finish on time. As much as I would love to write a very Detey related Valentines comic, I wanted to make a comic of the family bonding instead. I also wanted to add a twist with a bit of a sick fic trope into it. Based this comic also on my siblings because we’re celebrating together by watching a bunch of Valentine’s Day specials from our favorite cartoons. QUCIK HOW CAN I MAKE IT ABOUT DOG MAN MOMENT tehehe so I made the family do it, too. Just gonna rant on, I was planning to draw Petey kissing DM on the cheek til I realized he was sick :’D so he really shouldn’t. So instead y’all get a cute forehead to forehead moment. I kinda like it more because I think it’s just so much more sweet. It can be platonic or romantic, either way they love each other. <3

ALSO ALSO I imagine this being the first time the family celebrating Valentines so that’s why Petey is extra bummed out for being sick. If you see in the living room the bag and the candies, those are from LP. That’s his little decorated Valentines bag he made in school as he collected valentines from his classmates. I don’t think I made that very clear in the art but oh well.

I would have added Valentine’s Day balloons and more decorations but I kinda wanted to go away from the overconsumption/consumer shopping of the holiday. I think LP, 80HD, and DM would have fun making paper decorations instead. Plus, I take Valentine’s Day as a chill holiday so I wanted it to just be a chill celebration with the family. Nothing overly overwhelming and very mundane, but still a little special. GOD sorry for the long rant. Longer than I expected. I just felt like explaining some bits into this comic. I hope y’all are having a good day and treat yourself this holiday.

Alice is SUCH a good add-on, to see more of Knight and Greg’s life…but omg what do you MEAN she left Knight and Greg for a new bf and dog?? In fairness, it DOES seem like she would have time to mourn? Maybe?? BUT THE TIME SKIPS IN THE MOVIE SEEM LIKE SHE REBOUNDED SO fAST OMG/silly-oh also, is she the girl working on Mayor’s nails in the salon?? Um, SLAY

Chief is actually so funny WTH, Howrey did a FABULOUS performance voicing him!! He’s so dopey heheh he can relate to Dog Man but also is so far from him it’s perfect

TBH I think Sarah and Chief being into each other for a bit was really cute :] …and I also think it wasn’t needed one bit-I’m just really glad for the shippers because they would love to see the relationship on the big screen >U<

Yea the movie is FAST but I move faster🤠the timing was great for me!

Petey and Knight both saying “if something happens to me, _ for me-” gave me sm Deja Vu :O is it a time to say that Knight and Petey are similar to Greg in my Luxury AU too or-

SARAH HATOFF AND ZUZU!! Never knew Zuzu had indigo/blue eyes :] it fits for my AU at least [I’m so normal about my Luxury AU]

THE. MUSIC. OH. MY-same dude for the Knuckles show and it shows/VPOS!! I barely hear spy vibes in a movie and be good so it’s refreshing for a colorful movie to implement those elements :D …also, the little Reporting for Dog Man/Doghouse Memories reminders [I think it’s those ones] throughout the movie EEEE i love when music tells a story TwT

80HD couldn’t be anymore cooler!! 🌊 I love how text appears on him >:D

…I really don’t know what to add for Dog Man because in honesty, everything about him has been said or mentioned before XD he’s still the best part of the movie hands down🤗✨
