HA. i think i'm pretty good at writing out the way characters think. my manner of typing is practically me transcribing my own internal speech patterns, and that naturally gets projected onto the characters i'm writing. it DOES result in my characters all sounding vaguely californian (i really do say 'like' a LOT), but it works in the case of jatp where the characters are californian B)
i also think i'm good at dialogue, specifically at making them actually sound like people talking. and while i'd never call myself properly funny, i know i'm good at making myself laugh, so i hope that joy is reflected in my writing.

i... don't think so? my friends from high school knew, but i haven't spoken to them in years so i am unsure if they still count as irls.
🤯 - what's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
ACTION 100%. loving zelda and fire emblem makes this especially tragic. my ass is never going to write a compelling sword fight but you can bet i will at least try.

i'm very invested in julie's conceptual relationship with rage (and it's actually something i touch on in the next chapter of 22c). maybe this sounds crazy, but if i were julie and i was being bullied for roughly a full year because i was depressed that my mom died and the only person who had my back was my best friend and everyone else was complicit through participation or silence, i would be PISSED that people started to think i was cool after a single performance and then act like everything was fine forever.
the AUDACITY of people asking her for selfies after the garage party is so striking to me. julie deserves to be pissed!!! she deserves to be angry!!!!! like if s2 happened i needed her to have a scene yelling at nick (even if it's only possessed!nick) bc he literally just stood there and let carrie say whatever she wanted for a year.

i definitely think Poseidon and Sally were a true love but can't happen type thing. What circumstances do you think would have to happen for it to get to that "it CAN happen and we're going to do it" for them?
okay so i bounce back and forth between thinking that they'd try to get together eventually and thinking that they just cut their losses in this life, but for the most part i think that if they do get together, it's a gradual process. poseidon checks in on her after gabe is gone, he visits occasionally when percy is at camp and on quests. he visits after the war, after they both know that their baby is alive and made it through the prophecy, he visits when Percy goes missing (even though he shouldn't). and then they find out that sally is pregnant with estelle and it's sort of the natural conclusion for them. they're both a little worried about what percy is going to think, which is understandable, but while percy is very sort of wary about it at first i think that he doesn't say much on it because it's the first time he's seen his mom happy in forever, and that's really what he wants. and it's also really important for sally that percy is okay with it because of their past experiences, so after percy is like "as long as you're happy, mama" it's kind of like this realization moment that they might actually be able to pull this off.
Anakin can't handle too bright light because he's been seeing things through such a red lens. Like he's very sensitive to it now. Also, underestimate's his reach/strength. Goes to hug Ahsoka almost crushes. Absolutely SLAMS his hand down on Obi-Wan's shoulder and sends him straight into the ground.
I think he would be able to handle bright lights, get a grasp on that quickly, but the world would never look quite real to him. In his memories, everything was bright, but also always tinted by the red of blood and loss, the black of the ashes burning his lungs-
And now here there’s the world in full color and it seems like something imaginary.
And oh yeah, strength and reach will definitely need a lot of work

Probably obvious since it's me, but Keeper of the Force is by far my favorite. It has everything. Obi-Wan Kenobi. Angst. Force shenanigans. World building. What more could I ask for.
Ahhh omg thank you so much! I think the reason I’m so excited about Keeper of the Force is because it’s been such a fun challenge for me to write, and I’m just amazed at what I’ve been able to do with it so far (and what I have planned in the future).
I wouldn’t have been able to write this a few years ago because I think past-me would’ve thought it impossible—with all the plotlines, characters, and just *gestures wildly* things going on in the fic.
So I’m just amazed that I’m writing it at all, and that everything is really coming together in that fic :) And if I can pull off what I have planned for the rest of this fic, then I’ll be really, really proud of myself.
