Woah, I did NOT expect this.
I did Crossfit yesterday morning at 6:30 then at 10:30 went out for a 5km run. No overall time or pace goals, just get it done.
At the 1km mark when I got the notification I was like 'hmmmm, that's pretty fast for me.'
At the 2km mark I was like 'oops, that was VERY fast for me.'
Then I thought, screw it. Let's see if I can get a PB today. I had no idea what my previous best 5km was, so I just had to dig deep.
Yeah, my previous best was 25.54 with an average km pace of 5.11. That's a 43 second improvement and a 9 second average pace improvement. That was from March 30th.
I'm so chuffed. I haven't been running as much lately so naturally I was convinced I must be terrible. What a win.
