Betta Fish
Betta Fish are beautiful and easy to care for. Many beginners are instantly drawn to them, especially children. Because mostly beginners own bettas, bettas are very mistreated. This is because they do not know how to care for these magnificent fish. Let me teach you how to properly care for betta fish.
Bettas are very hardy. Betta fish can survive a wide range of water parameters. Their pH should be 6.5 - 7.5, though the more neutral it is, the better. There should be no ammonia, no nitrite, and less nitrate the better, though they can stand up to 40 ppm of it. Chlorine should be 0, Gh can be and Ch can be 40 - 120. They like tropical water temperature, so keep the temperature at around 80˚.
Bettas have amazing personalities. When you think about fish, you don’t think about personalities. But trust me, my betta was practically my best friend. He recognized my voice.
Betta fish don’t need fancy equipment. They need a minimum of only a five gallon aquarium, a heater, and of course food, but that is pretty much it, not including the basic chemicals to keep your water healthy.
Now you know how easy it is to care for betta fish. Will this elegant creature be your next pet, or perhaps your first? Like this post if you already have bettas, or have had them in the past, and remember to follow me so you don’t miss any of my posts!
