           “  heyyyy - they’re  not  finished  yet !  “  nancy  is  scrambling  to  keep  it  hidden  from  a  certain  pair  of  eyes  -  specifically  steve  harrington .  nancy  thought  it  was  sweet ,  that  steve  helped  her  study .  these  moments ,  the  ones  she  didn’t  shy  away  from  because  carol  and  tommy  were  present -  are  the  moments  nancy  loves  to  think  back  on ,  believing  this  was  the  steve  harrington  nobody  saw ;  like  he’s  opened  a  door ,  he’s  letting  her  in .   nancy  tosses  a  pillow  in  his  direction ,  because  somehow  her  messy  notecards  flush  her  with  embarrassment ,  when  steve  wants  to  double check  them .  so  silly,  nancy  wheeler .  

❝     you  really  got  into  a  russian  military  base?  and  won  a  fight  against  one  of  them?     ❞     spoken  with  the  slightest  laugh,  she  almost  finds  it  hard  to  believe.  but  after  what  she’d  been  through  the  past  few  days,  pretty  much  anything  is  believable.  she’s  still  being  kept  in  hospital,  their  parents  still  refusing  to  believe  what  she  says  about  the  mind  flayer,  instead  thinking  that  when  they  saw  her  drinking  chemicals  that  she  was  trying  to  take  her  own  life.     ❝     so  you  manage  to  win  a  fight  against  some  military  guy,  despite  losing  a  fight  to  jonothan  byers  of  all  people  a  couple  years  ago,  and  you  saved  the  world  from  the  thing  that  was  possessing  people?  okay,  fine,  you  win,  your  summer  was  more  exciting  than  mine.     ❞    

           ❛  YOU’RE TALKING A LOT ,  but you’re not saying anything.  ❜   to be fair ,  the blonde hasn’t been listening to a single word past maybe his third.   rude?  ---  by all means.  but she can’t help that she’s otherwise distracted with anything  &&  everything else conspiring around.   ❛  what’s so important?  try the abridged version.  ❜

                                       She  looks  over  to  him  &   holds  back  a  laugh  ,   his  eyes  are  comically  wide  &   his  hand  is  slowly  inching  toward  her  ,   as  if  she  wouldn’t  notice  .     IT’S  SAFE  TO  SAY  SHE  ISN’T  THE  ONE  THAT  NEEDS  TO  BE  LESS  SCARED  .     But  she  plays  into  it  ,   biting  her  lip  in     faux  fear  .     Sword  held  in  one  hand  &   now  shes  taking  his  hand  with  the  other  &   threading  their  fingers  together  .           ❛     You  are  my  hero     babe  .   ❜           Giving  him  a  fond  smile  she  inches  closer  to  him  ,   looking  to  watch  the  night  once  again  .           ❛   Do  not  fret  ,   I  won’t  let  the  angry  flower  get  you  -------   I  already  called  dibs  .     ❜
