Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) launched on Tuesday 8-inch WXGA (1280×800 pixels) TFT display, Priced at Rs. 17,990. The Galaxy Tab A was launched in Vietnam the last month. The Galaxy Tab A (2017) succeeds the Galaxy Tab A, which was launched last year. The Android-based Samsung tablet comes in two colour options – Gold and Black. The tablet is already available to buy via the Amazon and Flipkart Online Store as well as offline retailers in the country.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the Galaxy Tab A is that it has the new Bixby Home support. This would be for the first time Samsung is bringing its AI-enabled voice-assistant to a mid-end tablet. The Galaxy Tab A is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery.

The South Korean company touts the Galaxy Tab A as an “entertainment powerhouse”. The Galaxy Tab A is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. A microSD card slot is also available for memory expansion (up to 256GB). The tablet has a metal back and weighs in at 364 grams. Samsung Galaxy Tab A supports 4G LTE and runs on Android Nougat out of the box.
The tablet sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it bears a 5-megapixel camera. The camera also includes an HDR mode as well. The tablet also features a number of features that may be useful for a user. For instance, there is a feature called Blue Light Filter that the company claims will reduce harmful blue light emission and helps in a disruption-free sleep. Then there is something called Samsung View that enables users to wirelessly connect their Galaxy Tab A with a large screen TV.

Connectivity options on the tablet include dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery, that’s rated to deliver up to 14 hours of video playback, 153 hours of audio playback, and up to 36 hours of talk time (3G WCDMA). It measures 212.1×124.1×8.9mm, and weighs 364 grams.

iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G Tablet Launched with Remix OS for ₹ 17499
iBall has launched the Remix OS custom Android ROM for its Slide tablet range in India. Remix OS, first unveiled last year by Jide Technology, essentially adapts the Android interface for the laptop and desktop form factor. The Remix OS can first be found on the iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G tablet. The tablet with Remix OS will be available shortly in select stores at a price of Rs. 17,499.
Remix OS productivity focused optimisations include multi-tasking, working on multiple windows, additional Taskbar functionalities, keyboard and mouse optimization, and advanced file management.
It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, features the same 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with MaliT720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The tablet offers 16GB of inbuilt storage with the option to expand further using a microSD card slot (up to 64GB.) The iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G supports voice calling and packs a 7800mAh battery. The battery is rated to last up to 24 hours without the recharge. The tablet has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. It packs a 7800mAh battery.
Connectivity options on the iBall Slide Brace-X1 include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and OTG support. It also includes dual chambered speakers, which according to company can deliver a “theatrical experience”. The tablet comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint apps, and various utility apps such as Facebook, Saavn, and WhatsApp. There are several GameLoft games like Asphalt Nitro, Bubble Bash 3, Midnight Pool, Modern Combat 4 Zero Hour, and Spider-Ultimate Power as well. The iBall Slide Brace-X1 also comes with 21 read and write regional languages support.
