Critically, it belongs to no troll we're familiar with. That symbol is entirely new, and correlates to a blood color we've never seen before, because Karkat mutated away from it.

I don't know who the fuck this is - but I do have a theory about their symbol, and it bodes poorly.

Because it looks a whole fucking lot like the Rod of Asclepius.
