Happy two months to Meryl Stryfe week!! Officially, we’ll be kicking off the event on June 9th — but here are the prompts so y’all can have plenty of time to prepare 🥳🥳 The event will run from June 9th to June 15th, and you’ll be able to submit anything creative youd like to it — art, fic, analysis, or all of the above!

Her voice is a very unbecoming mix of plantive and irritated. "Vash, I'm not feeling very well and I really don't have it in me to argue—"

"It doesn't have to be an argument!" Vash insists. Before she can process those words something cold and wet is touching the back of her neck, along with the unmistakable press of fingers, Vash's bare hand. "Doesn't that feel bet—"

"Vash, stop! Don't touch me!"

Vash accidentally oversteps Meryl's boundaries about physical touch when he tries to care for her following a bad sunburn. To make up for it, he proposes using a system Rem once put in place to help him navigate his own touch aversion, and the afternoon that follows teaches them both more about the other. (Meryl Week, Day 6: Communicate)

Unfortunately life got in the way of me participating during the actual timespan of @3guncharacterweeks Meryl week, which was a huge bummer because you all know how much I love her. I hope folks enjoy this belated entry (the first of several), a platonic h/c fic where Vash and Meryl work out new boundaries after Meryl gets a bad sunburn. I’d love to hear what everyone thinks. 💜
