Today I feel reinspired. Reinspired to achieve my fitness goals, my creative pursuits and most of all, to continue doing what I said I was going to do. I’m pretty proud of myself for continuing to work on getting my mindset in check because I know that’s something that I need to work on. My default is negative and I blame that all on my family for passing down that horrible generational trait. But I told myself I would have a great year and that is exactly what I am going to do. Of course there also had to be some form of drama with our government/society and everyday I get more and more embarrassed to be an American but 🤷🏽♀️ what can I do? Wasn’t ask asked to be born here. I REFUSE to allow myself to be CONSUMED with every problem that arises in this country and world. At some point you have to stop and think: how much am I really involved in this and does the amount of energy I pour into it affect the outcome? You can’t spend the majority of your time being stressed, outraged and reacting to it on the internet and still expect to have positivity in your life and attract favorable outcomes? I think NOT. There are far more constructive ways to participate in creating change without depleting your mental health and outlook on life. If you consistently think the worst of situations, you won’t be able to recognize a good one because your perception is so clouded and therefore your judgement is so biased. You won’t recognize an opportunity, even if it’s stating you in the face. That’s also why I am placing firm boundaries with those around me, especially at work, when it comes to involving me in conversations that do not encourage me, inspire me or support me. My goal this year is to do things I’ve never done before, go places I’ve never gone and achieve things I didn’t think were possible.. despite what mess our society has created. I am determined to have a great year and great life regardless of any situation or state the world is in. It’s MY life, I decide how I’M going to live it.
