The Pike Queen's Throne
Some might say Lucy was testing her luck training her Seviper like this, but she disagrees entirely. Luck is something only fools rely upon; she relies on choice. And it is by her choice to trust her Seviper that she can withstand the mounting pressure enveloping and coiling around her body.
She believes she can ensure their spirit fights as one in battle by ensuring their minds and bodies are synced with one another. Their bodies must be as close as can be, scaly muscle binding tight and squeezing until there's no room to breathe between the two of them. Their minds must think as one, serpentine eyes locked with one another and pulsing with the hypnotic, captivating thrum of suggestion.
Despite her apparent position of submission, Lucy still remains the master of her fate and master of her Seviper. The Fang Snake Pokemon only acts this way because she has her faith that it will obey her thoroughly and completely, even her wildest demands. For how can she trust her Pokemon to win if she can't place her trust in them?
At least, that's what she believes. Then again, there might be a few odd side-effects from staring into Seviper's Glare for too long.
