Day #3625 Mazzy Star - Star While Hope Sandoval has a voice that is like sliding into a perfectly warm bath, David Roback was the guy who perfectly accompanied and complimented her voice. It was a truly magical and unparalleled sound. I can’t think of many other musicians that created such a unique, specific, haunting, sound that even rivals his music. This is a very sad loss. Very very sad. If you want a great example (also a great example of great songs that go missing because of gaps in steaming music) find a song called Hair & Skin. It was a B-side to flowers in December. So good.
