Happy house day to the Elrics also
Carole & Tuesday’s over, and the last episode was great. I guess the point of introducing all those one time characters earlier was so that more faces can appear in this finale, and I suppose I’m okay with that. Moreover though, I am so, so happy that the song genuinely plays out for 7 minutes in this episode. This is the most about music show I’ve ever seen and for it to open every episode hyping up these miraculous 7 minutes, if the show ended any way other than playing those entire 7 minutes it’d be lame as hell. But we got the 7 minutes and they were great, song’s not necessarily my thing but I think it works really well for what the point of the episode is, and Gus’ miraculous 7 minutes reprised speech is a fitting end for the series. I and I’m sure many others got baited, because the ending card says “Carole & Tuesday will continue” but then it cuts to “in your mind” which is like, fair enough I think I’ll remember this show but damn, they got me sad with that one. Though to be fair continuing this series would be weird since it said everything it needed to say and like they establish this episode that Carole & Tuesday’s first album is completed, as well as wrap up other plot points and like, in general we kinda know where the story would be going anyway, so we don’t need anything else.
8/10 for the whole show, imo. Loads of people are gonna give this a 10, I completely understand why anyone would, I know a lot of people for whom this has become their favourite anime of all time and I completely get that, but for me, it’s only an 8. Score could change though because I seriously can’t imagine myself not rewatching this at some point in the future. We’ll see.
I FUCKING LOVE AMI MIZUNO!
Sailor Moon S episode 8 (97) was really really great! This post’s own title makes it very apparent that this episode was an Ami episode, and I think we’ve long since established that those are favourites of mine. And in this episode Ami’s struggling from some insecurity where she thinks all she has as like, a person, is her academics, which is completely incorrect but is a reasonable insecurity to have, also since Usagi inadvertently reinforces that belief because she misinterprets a conversation Ami was having with a teacher that she accidentally eavesdropped, it just makes sense that Ami’d be sad. Because I’m easy, I was also very easily saddened by seeing Ami be sad, and like kinda just screamed to myself “No Ami you’re so much more than that!” and stuff. This setup’s fun though because first of all it means we get the most meaningful exchange between Ami and Mamoru ever, which isn’t a dynamic we see a lot of at all, and it’s a pretty fun one, Mamoru cheers her up just fine and it’s really sweet. Afterwards we get some fun interactions between Ami and Michiru, the pair having a swimming race where Ami holds back like a tiny amount at the end just because she wants friends and not confrontation, but Michiru picks up on it, calls her out, and then Ami’s sad again and like, I feel so bad because Ami’s like the most kind and considerate and delightful character in the entire show and she deserves to never be bullied ever! Ami like learns the lesson that she should give it her all with everything she has and gives Michiru a rematch though which is sweet, and it’s a tie again because Michiru went tryhard mode but it’s still good seeing Ami give it her very best, she’s so pretty in the water too, I love her. Daimohn fight happens at this point following Ami’s Pure Heart Crystal being taken, and side note but I love the Daimohn, they’re really goofy but like, better designed than the goofier Youma from season 1, and all their dialogue where they’re like “thank goodness I have these floaties” or “good thing I’ve got a helmet” is super funny. They do actually defeat the Daimohn and return Ami’s Pure Heart Crystal without Uranus or Neptune interrupting, which also means Ami doesn’t transform at all, but hey I’m fine with that, keep the structure a bit different from the Mako episode and also you can still have a strong character-based episode without them needing to henshin, it’s all good. Also the Ami at the end of this episode starts teasing Usagi by like hugging Mamoru’s arm, my girl be acting like heckin Rei down here, and really it’s super adorable. I don’t know if they’re suggesting Ami has feelings for Mamoru, because like it’s not impossible that she could and I mean who wouldn’t, but irregardless she’s an extremely nice person she wouldn’t actually do that to Usagi, it’s just cute seeing her tease. God I love Ami Mizuno, she’s so great. Also not really a sidenote but there have been a few times where after a Pure Heart Crystal’s been returned, Michiru’s like, relieved that the person wasn’t sacrificed, because she likes them, and I have to assume that’ll play into however we end up convincing her and Haruka that they’re wrong. Wonder if it’ll happen at the same time or like Michiru will be convinced and then persuade Haruka or evne something else, who knows. Lots of people, this show’s like 25 years old. But I don’t, sooooo. Yeah, brilliant episode, Ami’s had a really great streak recently.
Here's a free multi I got in Madoka's birthday box. Lame.

Non Session
Date : 3 October 2019
Duration : 1 minute at 10:00 pm
Depth :
Nothing. This session was a non session. I put on the timer on Insight Timer app and dozed off. I dozed off watching my breath and adding the Hong Sau mental chant to it. This is not meditation. This is simply a way to go to sleep on a day when I was agitated enough to have a night of insomnia. I didn’t even bother with posture. I was lying down on my side while doing this. This session isn’t counted, according me. It is counted by Insight Timer but not me.
