So, starting at almost the beginning, one of the cutest things is the way @2x2verse writes Sollux and John’s first kiss. One of the images that really stuck with me was John with his hands on Sollux’s wrists, and Sollux turning his hands over so his hands are on John’s wrists too. It’s so intimate and sweet. Part of the challenge in writing a rarepair is establishing personalities so that you can see how a couple could come together, but the way John and Sollux are written here is so awesomely natural, it just flows so nicely from the setting, and it’s the stable heart of the story, and even when things start getting hectic, these two just stay so sweet together. I’m not doing this ship justice, go read the story to see what I’m talking about.
