I have a load of this really soft burnt orange yarn which I assume to be brushed acrylic but it’s 2ply and I was like, oh yeah, tiem fuor sumting good,mabbe lace? babey!!!! And after 320 minutes (two Six Nations Rugby games back to back courtesy of my stepfather’s birthday) I….., came to the conclusion that the shawl pattern I was using deserves a more solid yarn.
So I frogged it 🐸 and lo! I had another pattern already open on another tab on another window that is just perfect (as long as I have done a little maths correctly….. pray for me) and here’s the ribbing on the back in 2.75mm needles……..
I am Trusting the Process because the main body of the pattern sizes down further to 2.25mm needles!!!! Everything is so smol!!!!! I can’t believe I’ve become this kind of glutton for punishment knitting a sweater in 2ply on the smallest circulars I own!!!! This may take me all year!!!
