Within my fiber communities I often see people asking about how to chain ply on a spinning wheel, with e-spinners seeming to give the most amount of difficulty for some reason. So I’ve made a little explanatory video of how I get a smooth chain ply on my Daedalus e-spinner.
progress today, got too sleepy to finish this last night
I like spinning. I do not like plying as much.
I will be winding this off onto the niddy noddy and then dealing with the four other bobbins I let back up.
Plying the wool washing experiment.
Extremely satisfying
Also this pain in the ass plying set up

plying yarn by spindle is so fucking tedious but so fucking pretty in the end. i'm surprised i haven't gotten some form of friction burn yet, because ow my fingers
Help me #Spinblr, you're my only hope!!
Okay maybe it isn't that dire...
Im currently plying my second ever ball of handspun (yay! Pats self on shoulder) and while I found a temporary solution that will work for this ball... Its well temporary... Unless I want to drive an hour to my friend's house every time I wanna ply to borrow her kitchen chairs and heavy bowls...
So if you're a drop spindler how do you ply your yarn?
Edit: oops meant to post a picture of my temporary solution!
