1 year (and a few days) after our wedding and i'm vacuuming up my own hair in my wedding outfit after another visit to @marcinaus' Barbershop in Darlinghurst! 🤪 No idea where to and when i'm ever gonna wear this outfit again so i'm busting it out now so i can say that i've used it more than once. Might just make it a daily affair to be doing housework in a gown. Starting our wedding anniversary celebrations in lockdown right! 🥳 Thought i looked glamorous last year, but isolation has taught me that i can still be glam even when i have nowhere to go except for mainly doing household chores. #throwback to this fantastic, crazy and super fun 1 year (time flies!) wedding anniversary celebration last weekend in lockdown! 🥳🥰 Started off with a run together in amazing weather, then we ordered delicious food from one of our favourite locals @moonrestaurant346 (ordering takeaway is definitely one of my iso highlights rn), we dressed up and i had outfit changes in between dinner too (a benefit of lockdown and not being able to go anywhere), but... THE BEST part of the festivities would be @marcinaus actually pulling off a beautiful surprise right under my nose?! He really outdid himself - why am i even surprised he managed that though? I got shoved into the bedroom for a little while, then i stepped out to a stunning private dining room setting right in our apartment - perfect music, lights, candles, glassware placement, everything, and a space for our own dance floor too! We wined and dined, visited Womerah Ave's Homebar, danced the night / morning away - disco lights, unofficial and official wedding songs, experimental dance moves all included! 🎉 Definitely not how i envisioned our first celebration to be, and in lockdown (6 weeks and counting). Our official honeymoon trip, special dinner in a restaurant somewhere, or just a holiday really will have to be postponed, but that's okay cos we're still very blessed and we've got each other (maybe too much now 🤣). We had the best party of our lives last year 200419, but we definitely had the best party of our lives in lockdown this year - hangovers and all. 🤪 Thank you for everything kochanie, you remind me everyday but especially in this season that i definitely married my best friend. I love you forever and a day. One of the highlights during this iso period would have to be this experience! Thank you so much Astrid and LP for inviting @marcinaus and i to be part of your new performative project "Distance Dining" in this season, and thank you for sharing this moment with us. It was really lovely catching up over a virtual dinner with the both of you this week. Marcin and i finally came out of our shells after weeks of not video calling or socialising with friends (apart from family)... so "dinner and drinks" over a video call, definitely a very big deal for us! 😅 Nice to know that we were your 30th dinner, and the first one that you actually got to eat and drink because we're in the same time zone! Thank you so much, we enjoyed and loved every bit of it, and we really appreciate it! Also super glad that Marcin finally got to meet and even have "dinner" with my university professors (who will always have a special place in my heart). Womerah Ave's Home Bar pop-up by @marcinaus had a soft launch yesterday. Super solid job kochanie. 💇‍♀️✂️ Okay this memory deserves to be up here for sure!!! 2nd and 3rd pic - haircut courtesy of @marcinaus, and i'm all dressed up (pants from @minormiracles.shop 🥳) even though i've got nowhere to go again but why not since i feel fabulous after a fresh haircut! Life in lockdown means a visit to Marcin's Barbershop in Darlinghurst. With my usual hairdresser @akiho_oda now cutting down on appointments due to the lockdown, i have no choice but to trust my husband (help Aki!). He's been convincing me for years now that he's capable of cutting my hair but it took a pandemic for me to trust him on this one! 😂 This Barbershop bribes you with drinks and also cleans you with an actual vacuum cleaner after. Every new customer gets a free trial haircut, subsequent appointments will be charged accordingly, but these days things like good bottles of wine are accepted as payment. Drop a DM to @marcinaus to book a slot. 😅 Thanks for making me feel like myself again kochanie, i must say you did a pretty good job. You have proven yourself to be a husband worth marrying - can cook, can clean, can cut hair and it means i can save a lot of money. 🤣 Next nails? Eyebrows? Happy Resurrection Sunday! Always a very meaningful day for me, a day for me to be thankful that i'm still standing, and still doing life, and now doing life with a partner in crime. If someone told me in 2013 when my heart was ripped out, that life today for me would look like this, i would've laughed in disbelief. “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." ❤ Easter this year was supposed to be set in Poland with the family but we're here in Sydney instead. We managed to take a walk in the sun for a while for some fresh air and explored a little park we never explored before, we dressed up even though we had nowhere to go just because! (i've been dressing up for fun especially on the weekend to keep sane) And then we went home to stay home again. Week 3 of isolation looks a little bit like this, and we've got about maybe 6 months or maybe less or maybe more of this to go - who knows!
