This episode of Citrus was a lot less steamy than I thought it would be. All of the smutty stuff we saw in the preview was pretty much as lewd as it got – the rest was all implied. Oh, but one thing of importance is that the lewd stuff wasn’t between Mei and Yuzu – it was between Mei and the vice president, Himeko, who I will affectionately refer to as “Drills” for the rest of the series in reference to her wonderful drill curls hair.

Drills is Mei’s childhood friend and has been in love with her forever. Drills doesn’t seem to like Yuzu by virtue of her relationship with Mei, though granted, Drills doesn’t know all the deets. Drills, Mei and Yuzu basically talk for a bit, and we get some comedy that, while I have no idea if it was particularly funny, managed to make me chuckle a little, which is nice. We also get to see Drills and Mei as children, and they’re pretty cute. Yuzu is still the number one Disaster Lesbian™ that she’s always been too, which is fun.

Back on the topic of that smutty stuff though, Drills comes into Mei’s little student council room, strokes her hair, gently bites her ear, places her knee between Mei’s legs and hand up those same legs, and kisses Mei, before fading to black. This is pretty concerning. Mei put in no effort to resist at all, so perhaps she didn’t really mind, but she seemed pretty bothered about it later. The plot thickens…

Got home, Vacuumed, did laundry, took the dogs for a walk and went for the evening run that I impulsively agreed to, had a late dinner, purged it.
