The premise

Basically it’s a show about a bunch of people that have been brought to the library to help keep magic out of the wrong hands. 

(that’s the one sentence description, of it anyway).

Characters

Flynn Carsen; the librarian

He’s the current librarian. He’s been the librarian for ten years (and as a result of this is a little touchy around others). He has a great friendship with Excalibur and a collection of funny hats/bandanas. He needs love and protection. 

Eve Baird; the guardian

She’s the one that protects everybody else at the library. She’s badass as heck, I mean she used to be part of the NATO counter-terrorism unit. She’s able to balance looking good and kicking ass at the same time. She is currently in a relationship with Flynn (they’re so freaking adorable together!!).

Ezekiel Jones; the thief turned librarian

He’s not a science person. He’s very geeky, and dislikes Flynn. He has a good friendship with Jenkins (I’ll get to him later). He’s definitely the most sarcastic of the group. He’s australian!!! 

Jacob Stone; the cowboy turned librarian

He’s an art historian and has published several papers under aliases. He worked on an oil rig before becoming a librarian. His relationship with his father is rocky. He wears infinity scarves a lot. He has a good relationships with everybody on the team. 

Cassandra Cillian; the janitor turned librarian

She has synesthesia, and because of a a tumour in her brain hallucinates numbers. She has good relationships with everybody on the team. She has a penchant for zany clothes. She’s bisexual. She’s into science and maths. She needs to be protected at all costs.

Jenkins; the guardian of the annex

He’s an immortal that guards the annex. He’s the son of [redacted]. He’s essentially grumpy cat crossed with a mad scientist. He has a good relationship with Flynn and Ezekiel. He hates it when people interrupt his work.

Other things

There are ten episodes per season, and three seasons currently.

Our fandom is relatively small.

The first two episodes of series one are at least an hour long.

We get emotional over swords.

Everybody on this show is shippable.

Each season there is an overarching plotline that relates to a certain mythology/person in history
