Star Trek TOS Era Uniforms
The Cage (original pilot): look at this thing, this isn’t a uniform it’s a sweater his gramma made him wear cause she thinks it’s a tad chilly out and doesn’t want him to catch a cold. I’m sure those things he’s holding are thermoses full of her homemade chicken noodle soup. 2/5 Baby It’s Cold Outside
The Original Series: Now that’s much better! Classic. Classy. A little wrinkled, maybe; Gramma needs to get out the iron real quick, but otherwise just really great uniforms. 5/5 Let’s Boldly Go to the Gap and Get Some of These
Deep Space 9: More of the same. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 5/5 Nuff Said
Kelvin Timeline: Say what you want about JJ Trek... And I will; they weren’t great. The uniforms were decent though; I think the colors are a little muted, but I love the fabric design. The texture with all the little star fleet insignias looks better than the plain fleece or whatever the originals were made out of. Could use some work, but overall not bad. 4/5 Bad Robot, Okay End Result
Discovery: Okay, you know what, I can’t lie, these might actually be my favorite. Discovery is a terrible show, but these designs are amazing! They look more like actual government issue uniforms than the originals, but remain faithful and evocative of them without losing that campy Star Treky feel. They’re bright, they’re fun, they’re professionally made, just all around great uniforms. 6/5 YES! I want it!
