What's their morning routine? Do they have a long ritual or do they just roll out of bed and call it good? (From this Ask List by @diggingforkuponuts)

Whilst it's more of a late morning (or even lunchtime) routine, Mimble is quite fastidious about his ablutions and preparations - a gentleman cannot be rushed after all.

He will wash himself carefully, before applying various ungents and colognes. Naturally Mimble claims to use these merely for their pleasing smell and protection from the rays of the sun, but it is widely suspected that they have other, more esoteric, qualities.

His clothes will be brushed and his shirtfront pressed, although not by hand of course - Mimble is not one for manual labour if magic will do the job - and his necktie or cravat arranged just so.

These are just the things before breakfast. Breakfast itself is a ritual all its own...

Rosemary - Memory, Mental Acuity and Recollection of Information.

1. What is your OC's earliest memory? Is it one they would sooner forget or do they recall it with fondness? Do they genuinely remember it? Or have they just been told about it so often by their family or community that they can picture it clearly?

For Aeryn, this changes over the ARR -> EW journey. For a long time, her earliest memory is the game's opening sequence: hearing Hydaelyn's voice, then waking up in the Shroud before Bremondt's cart passes by and offers her a lift.

She has zero memories of her past until StB, when swimming in the Ruby Sea triggers a disorienting series of memory fragments to flash through her mind. Most of them swiftly fade (like waking up from a dream and promptly forgetting all the details); but one that stays with her is being aboard a ship during a terrible storm.

In ShB, during the climactic battle, she ends up with an extended look at that memory via the Echo, during which she both sees and relives the last moments of her life and the death of her star, courtesy of Emet-Selch's having been there. That then becomes her "earliest" memory... albeit arguably, since the memory is both hers and not hers?

It's a violent, horrible memory to have; but it's also cathartic for her to have anything at all when, by that point in the story, she thought her past fully lost to her. It's the catalyst that pushes her to finally, finally let go of the notion that her identity is tied to her missing past (a major turning point in her arc). After so long having nothing at all, I don't think she'd want to forget, in spite of it being so brutal to recollect.

Is your OC someone that their friends or companions can rely upon in times of difficulty? Are they a pillar of strength for others? Or do they depend upon others to meet their emotional needs, but find themselves unable to reciprocate in turn?

Kitali is absolutely someone who exudes a deep strength of character. She stands solidly on her own two feet and is the kind of person who gives off the weary "this ain't my first rodeo" reaction to almost everything thrown her way (even if some of it is faking it til she makes it).

She was propping up Alphinaud and Tataru during their hiding in Camp Dragonhead while they were spiralling in reaction to the Scions collapse. She was Lyse's backbone in Stormblood when Lyse couldn't quite handle the strain. It's a pretty open secret that she was Aymeric's sole personal support system in the immediate aftermath of the Dragonsong War and following change in governance. She was the no-questons-asked support for the twins in Endwalker after their father publicly disowned them.

Also sorry if today's tags felt half-hearted. I read them all and I love love love them all but I've got worries on my mind. My grandfather (91) was hospitalized today. T^T He's out of surgery and awake already but the shock was very draining. I also threw my back out (old) moving my mom's hide-a-bed couch for her. imma go lay down. love y'all.

Xeranthea: I've never been in love, so I know naught how to recognize it nor deny it.

Midori: Were you not in love with your son's father?

Xeranthea: No.

Midori: *gasps sharply* Please... say it wasn't...

Xeranthea: *fervently shakes her head* No, no! Nothing of the sort. Rather we... 'tis difficult to explain. Even if I wanted to... *twists her hands* explore such an emotion... We ran out of time.

Midori: Oh! Your hometown... Lindblum... *raises her hand to cover her mouth* And then to find out you were pregnant...

Xeranthea: *smiles sadly* Anyroad, even should we have had the time, I do not believe I could have ever loved that man. He was a good man, brave too, but I...

Midori: More clearly do I see what Mr. Chrestos meant of you deserving gentle love.

Xeranthea: And you, Midori? Surely, you have been in love before?

Midori: I... *blushes profusely* I have... accepted and reciprocated affection before.

Xeranthea: How clinical!

Interviewer: And entirely untrue, Midori! You have been and are currently in love!

Midori: What?! *jaw dropping to the floor*

Xeranthea: Oh, how delightful! *claps her hands*

Midori: No! no no, you are mistaken! I am not... We... (if Midori had ears instead of horns they would surely be rolanberry red.)

Xeranthea: So, there is someone! *grins mischeviously*

Midori: Ah! I- *slumps in resignation* Mayhap there is someone... *straightening up* But we merely share mutual affection for one another!

Interviewer: denial...

Xeranthea: Who is the lucky person? Is it your best friend, Ser Dragoon?

Midori: *balks in disbelief* No! Defninitely not!

Xeranthea: He sounds like he knows you more intimately than any of your traveling companions and cares for you dearly besides. Were you never... tempted?

Midori: We... may have... tumbled when we traveled together in Dravania... but we are better as friends. Truly. (Midori's body thrums with hot embarrassment.)

Xeranthea: Who then? *eyes sparkling with curiosity*

Interviewer: *grins evily* I know who he is! He's the M-

Midori: No! It matters not! We're not-! I'm not-! He's not in love with me... surely... *buries her face in her hands.*

Xeranthea: I am all but certain that is not true. *reaches over to pat Midori's head.*

Interviewer: Well, we've got our answer. Midori is too much in denial. Yes yes.

Midori: No, it's... godsdammit! *groans in frustration*

[How would your character react if someone] asked them to perform in front of an audience, like right now, without prep?

With enormous gusto and enthusiasm...

Mimble is a natural-born performer and quite enjoys showing off for an audience. Whether it's his dance moves, his magical abilities, or his ability to tell bad jokes and tall stories, he can command a crowd with ease.

19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?

My favorite thing about Aeryn is also my least favorite: she's boring.

I say this having a profound and intense love for her exactly as she is and with no current desire to change her! But viewed through the lens of creative analysis/critique, she's a poorly-conceived protagonist—the kind writers are usually warned against making. She doesn't know what she wants, does little to forward her own plot, and is predominantly reactive for most of her story. Her most defining "trait" is her quasi-amnesia, which could drive her personal motivation... only instead I use it to present her as a blank slate with no notable personality who frequently observes rather than acts.
