I don't care what anyone else says about the word; I love my queer relationship~ I'm Ace but my partner is heterosexual, so it's a hard relationship to try to define. But for us, queer feels right and doesn't erase my Asexuality just because I'm in what LOOKS like a heterosexual relationship. We're life partners and best friends and everything that comes with it, and if calling him my partner and our relationship queer is what makes me happy, then he couldn't care less.
Point is, queer isn't a bad word for some people, sometimes it helps people feel like they have a place to belong in the community where other words or labels fail. Sometimes it makes others feel excluded and hurt and their identity disregarded. Both views are okay. Both should be respected.
But for me, I'm proud of me and my queer relationship. Happy Pride Month everyone, keep standing strong~
So one thing I learned recently is that I have changed a lot but the one thing that has not changed is how much of a bi-disaster I am. I am so lucky to have my family and the support I have gotten, thank all of you!
Happy pride month!
This is gonna be my last art post for a while cause I am going on a longer hiatus for the summer. But between my art block and taking care of my mental health, I think it’s a little much for me to post everyday. I might occasionally post to support the protests since I do believe it’s important but I’m still gonna not post any art.
I’m still free to chat and what not so feel free to do so! :) And if any of you need anyone to talk to during this hard times, I am always there.
Okay, so since the first US Pride riot was Stonewall, I think we should call 2020 Pride:
"Stonewall 2: Defeat the Boogaloo"
