#ace flag

I've had more time to think about this flag and how it relates to my specific experience of asexuality. The existence of this flag has made me feel more comfortable thinking about how different parts of my identity might or might not be interacting with my aceness, with the permanent and immediate visual reassurance that it's okay to be this way.

The yellow and pink stripes in particular feel like such a big hug. To me, those two stripes together feel like self-acceptance of all parts of myself, with respect and patience for all of it. That I can be ace and all these other things at the same time, and it's all packaged up to create something uniquely me, and that my survival despite allosexual norms is worth being proud of and worth talking about.
