Sister's is sorta complete. I need to put on a "legend" at the ends, but am not quite sure what I want to do. Still, that's the year for her corner of Washington.
Holy crap, guys. It’s done.
The. Last. Tempghan.
See all the purple??? That I didn’t have enough of and then promptly resented having to order online. But it’s so pretty and my favorite of the three I made. Hope the sister likes it.
I guess it looks a little better complete. I might actually keep it. Also, it's large enough to be a respectable throw. I'm trying to decide if I should make a border.
🌡#stitchghan temperature blanket : January - December recorded. 🤗❤
This is an experiment using stitches to represent temperature averages rather than color. Now to decide what sort of border to add. 🙄
The best thing about this crochet experiment is definitely cost. Working with only one color, my current investment is less than three jumbo skeins. And there's no ends to weave from color changes! Actually, that may be the best thing about this experiment. 😂
The down side is some of my stitch bands are tighter than others. Hopefully the edging will help it to lay better. Ugh. TBD...

🌡#2018tempCAL - done! ✔
So happy to have this project finished! 🤗
This temperature blanket CAL recorded weekly averages (as opposed to daily temperatures). The pattern used was Lazy Waves from Look At What I Made, and the pattern link is included below. 😁❤
The chunky yarn I selected had a large gauge, so I opted to modify the pattern to show weekly high temps in the wave pattern with lows as a row of singles. Tassels serve as a color temp legend with highs along the top and lows along the bottom.
Search Tumblr #2018tempCAL for other markers and their creative interpretations for this fun pattern! ❤
This Lazy Waves Blanket is simple without being monotonous and you can make it in as many or as few colours as you like. It is an excellent
Two down. One to go. AZ and CA finished. MN fell victim to the heartbreak of yarn unavailability. Waaaay back in August. First there was denial. Next came bargaining in the face of a doomed game of yarn chicken. Then righteous anger at the audacity of Joann’s/Michael’s to stop carrying Eggplant in store. Then depression at how far behind I was falling. Finally, acceptance of the fact that I was going to have to pay for shipping on a freaking three dollar yarn purchase. I survived the drama and am stitching my way back from near defeat. I am looking forward to sending two of these off to my sister and step mom. Mine is so soft and delightful. Gonna nap so hard.
#2018tempCAL done! Pretty sure it's Molly's now.
Thanks @hooked-at-weiss for organizing this and for keeping me in line all year! It's been fun! 💜
