The Maze Runner High School AU:
It’s been months. They spent the whole summer together, learning every in and out of every possible way of each other. Then school starts again. And they have to face the harsh reality; Newt is still the topic of conversation. For reasons unknown, Minho isn’t. Maybe it’s for some sort of twisted “comradery” that the Runners let him off the hook and only goes after his boyfriend, but it doesn’t take long before Minho loses it. Newt’s one the best thing in his life, Minho fucking loves him, and Minho’s the first to swing a punch.
The violence, he doesn’t like, but truth be told: Newt doesn’t think he’ll be able to ever forget that Minho just wanted to stand up to him. Newt hadn’t even been there, and Minho just wanted to defend his honour. Newt doesn’t need it, his honour is very well intact, thank you, but he still feels fuzzy all over. So, he tells Minho to ignore them, to let them say whatever they want to say, and he tells him that he loves him too. Just like that. No walls, no running. It’s the best goddamned feeling in the world.
